Clarke’s is my favorite place to go for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a drunken 3:00 am meal. It is conveniently open 24 hours, giving you a wide variety of food choices, whether day or night. The food and service is fast and delicious, and prices are low, geared toward college age hipsters and late-night partiers. Of all the diner-style food offered in Chicago, Clarke’s is number one on my list.

Clarke's has everything and is open 24 hours. Located on Belmont, in the heart of things, near the Brew and View and the el. Everything is reasonably priced, the service is good, the place is clean and well-lit. I would certainly go back and recommend it to others, but do not make a point to take out-of-towners here.

This place is right across from the Belmont train stop and they are open 24 hours. Their menu is quite extensive, their seating comfortable and their help, interesting to say the least. It is possible to have a good time here. The food is pretty poor for all the business they get. I might not mind that so much if it cost a little less. But they charge above average prices for omelettes and sandwiches that have no flair. In fact, I've been served on a dirty plate more than once. Of course, I'd been persuaded to go back because of the location. But just a couple blocks down the road you can find much better food at Melrose. Not the same atmosphere though, so you will have to bring your own friends there!!

Clarkes has great food. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner 24 hours a day. When you get there, it's hard to decide whether to get the pancakes (oh so good!) or one of their fabulous burgers. They also have burritos and quesadillas which are also fantastic. The desserts (if you have room) are super-yummy, too. Coffee, iced tea, and soft drinks are free refills, too.

Somehow, after seeing a show, we almost always end up eating here. They serve modern-ish diner food that tastes fresh and delicious. Their egg dishes are all very good, and never over cooked. I would also recommend the burritos and burgers. The $5 shakes are also worth the money. The service is usually pretty good; I've never had a bad experience here. The prices are also good. You can eat a huge meal for less than $10.
