Indian food is my favorite food, Devon is my favorite place to get it, and Udupi Palace might be my favorite place on Devon (I've only tried 4 or 5 places, though. What are other people's favorites? Please comment.) This place serves vegetarian southern Indian food, which is a fairly different style from most places that I've been. There are crispy flat breads, chutneys, and other dip-like things. The food is spicy, and the restaurant is quiet and nicely decorated.

If you are ever in the mood for good south indian food, stop by at udupi palace. They offer all the major south indian dished, atleast the ones that I know off. They do offer north indian dishes on the menu, but I usually stick to the south indian dishes. Except for the chole bhatura I havent tried any of the north indian dishes here. I usually start off with the medhu vada and move on to one of the dosas or uthappams. The food is very good and consistent. The service to is very prompt and effective. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for some good south indian food.
