I'm not Thai, but I've heard from my Thai friends that this place is authentic (order from the Thai menu if you're with people who are in the know)... More

I really enjoy this Thai restaurant which is in close proximity to Graceland cemetary. The prices are great too. Ask for the Thai language menu in order to get more authentic and adventurous selections. This site will provide a helpful translation of the items: http://www.silapaahaan.com/menus.html.
I recommend the somtam thai green papaya salad (with dried shrimp).

This restaurant near the corner of Sheridan and Irving Park has outstanding Thai food. The food here is authentic and very fresh. The decor is minimalist/modern. If you are an adventurous eater, ask for their translated menu, which they don't bring out at first. This menu has some Thai specialties that are not on the main menu. Also check the chalkboard for daily specials. This restaurant is BYOB.

Tac Quick is right by the Sheridan stop on the Red Line so access is easy. The food is okay, although I found some of the food a bit bland - a crime for Thai food! Their Tom Yum soup is good and sour, but their Pad Khee Mao was salty instead of spicy. Their satay was average. I've found their salads to be pretty good. Overall, this is an acceptable choice if you need a Thai food fix and can't find anywhere else. But for great Thai food, I would go elsewhere.
