I love the food at Leona's but the service at the Elston location leaves something to be desired. Whether I've visited on a weekend or a weeknight, it's easy to get a table but a little more difficult to order timely, get water refills and get the bill. The food is always good and plentiful, but perhaps carry out is a better option when you want Leona's in this neighborhood.

This restaurant has some great Italian and American foods on their menu. Their menu is creative and witty and includes cool catoons or carictures of the staff and management. I find that amusing and also think they do a great job with their promotions overall. But the real winner for me is the Italian food. This is what Mama Leona was known for and passed her recipes down to her kids and the staff. The pastas, lasagna, soups etc... are excellent. The service at this location can range from fair to great depending on who is working. They need to work on consistency of quality service a bit more otherwise; bravo!

Okay, I have to work on forgiving them for the last order I placed here...the phone guy was rude and they left out one of my items. But all the other times, I was very pleased with them. The restaurant is nice looking and comfortable, and the menu is even fun to look at (lots of cool titles and amusing headlines). My favorite would be the 5 cheese lasagna (just sinfully good!) and the romano crusted chicken. Their salads rock too.
