This place has great pizza, but I have never had a great server to go with it. I am sure that it is a hit or miss thin and I keep on missing, but I if you are the type that gets frustrated quickly then this might not be the best place for you. If you haven't had this pizza then at a bare minimum you should get take out or order one. They are worth it.

I was at Salerno's recently for a surprise birthday party. I had been there once before about 5 years ago and really liked their food. Well I definitely was not disappointed this time. This time I decided to get a mixture of meat and cheese Tortellini in red sauce....very generous portions for the price! In addition, they give you a choice of soup or salad and bread with the parmesan/oil mixture....yummy!! So if you're looking for a fairly reasonably priced local Italian restaurant and are west of the Chicago Loop, you might want to give this place a try.

This is my family’s favorite pizza place in the Chicago area. All of the Italian entrees are pretty good. But it is they’re pizza that takes the cake. I’ve never had anything that compares and you simply must try the original crust. The service is great and the setting is quaint and family oriented. You can call ahead for a big party, and they will graciously accommodate you. Try their minestrone soup!!
