  • Good tap selection and unique spin on bar food

    Rating:

Although the Twisted Spoke first comes off as a biker bar (hence the name), the impressive tap and whiskey selection combined with a slightly gourmet spin on traditional bar fare appeals to even my non bar-loving wife. The burgers are particularly tasty (and huge); their price includes all the toppings, so you can pile the bacon and blue cheese as high as you want. My wife loves the tuna melt because it's infused with fresh ginger, giving it a real kick. They've also got some unique appetizers in addition to the standard onion rings and cheese sticks. Overall, surprisingly good food-- I suggest grabbing a table outside and relaxing with a pint and a few close friends.

  • Nice patio, but terrible service

    Rating:

The food isn't all that great nor is it all that bad, but the service is usually so bad anyway, that I find little reason to go to the Twisted Spoke. Everything I have ordered has been a let-down, but the Bloody Mary's are by far the best thing that you can order here. They come with a beer back, and great garnishment. The only other good thing about TS is the roof patio. On a beautiful summer Sunday morning, a bloody mary is a good bet. Other than that, if you really need food that bad...

  • Um yeah, it's interesting.

    Rating:

The price is definitely not good, but it's almost worth it anyway to see this funky bar. The portions of the food are great, although the food itself isn't good enough to want to take home anyway, so it's a bit of a push. Great bloody mary's; decent service. Would only return if a group of people wanted to, otherwise there are better bars to explore in the city.
