Just thinking about this place makes me happy (and very hungry!) Some folks might say this is kind of on the cheesy, touristy side, but I have always loved this place. The prices keep going up and up each year, but I will forgive them :) I love the Rocky's Choice special which gives you the best of everything - shrimp, veggies, frice, steak. And I am a sucker for those wild chefs that do the cooking right in front of you. A lot of fun and great for special occasions.

This has to be one of the worst places I've ever eaten at. Maybe I had to high of expectations to start with but I left there hungry and felt totally ripped off. The wait upon getting there was close to an hour, with reservations. The portions were VERY small. The "chef" was NOT entertaining. The cleanliness of the restaurant was bad by my standards. The prices....horribly high. Enough said.

This is definitely an American version of a Japanese steakhouse. It's all flash and show and focused on appearances rather than quality. Like they think, if this at least LOOKS good then maybe the people won't notice the food is sub par. And it's not like I completely didn't like my food but I had expected better and didn't feel satisfied afterward. Plus the drinks and the food are overpriced to reflect, again, the appearance that it's a nice place and one should feel "exclusive" to be there, but that is really not at all the case. Skip this one - even Ron of Japan is a much better bet.

I went there with my husband because of a recommendation of a friend. I found the food to be tasteless, it was totally a waste of our time and money. Totally not a Japanese or Asian food like the advertise. Now I question the taste of our friend who recommended it. Yuck, I will never go back there again.

Cramped seating, poor ventilation and questionable cleanliness defines my experience with Benihana. A recent trip had us waiting over 30 minutes, even though we had a reservation. The food was bland and our chef an automaton; it was like watching a bear at the circus perform tricks.
My clothes and hair reek of that fry/grill smell when I leave this place.
Best part: the 2 glasses of riesling I drank.
With personal experience int he restaurant industry as well as food preparation and safety requirements, I wonder how Benihana is able to pass its inspections.
