Good lunch spot, but so-so for dinner

I used to work near Keefers and I think it's the perfect spot for a nice business lunch. The windows make it feel very open and light. The menu is extensive and tasty.

However, I've also been there a few times for dinner, and the wait staff always seems quite frazzled the minute there is a bit of a rush. If the waiters took a minute to connect with the diners, I think this place could really make a name for itself.

Lots of personal attention

The service in here is great, and the food is wonderful. The menu is actually pretty extensive without losing any quality at all. The wine list is not bad either.

What was really nice is when the owner came around to everyone's table and personally made sure everyone was satisfied. He'd shake your hand and have an actual conversation with you. That doesn't happen too many places!

Great Steakhouse

This is one of the best steakhouses in all of Chicago. Unlike most of its like, this place has a very casual and clubby sort of feel, though it is still very upscale and sophisticated.
The food here is amazing and you can find good options for all courses of your meal. The service here is superb and you will be attended to at all times.
Plus, in the summers you can sit outside on their patio. Now what is better than enjoying a nice meal in the warm weather?

Sublime Lamb Chops

Keefer's is a great steakhouse with an array of delicious specialties, but there's one reason why I go to Keefer's - their lamb chops. Easily, the best lamb chops I've ever been served, it's a great introduction for people who have never had lamb. Juicy and flavorful, without being too gamey, it's a spectacular dish. Their side dishes are good, including their potato croquettes. The filet mignon is also excellent, but those lamb chops are out of this world...
