I enjoy going to this great restaurant for a good steak. They make their steak to perfection and I have never had any complaints. My girl friend swears by the salads here and claims the house salad here is the best salad she has ever had. While I'm not a big fan of the whole salad thing, they seem to be pretty popular and are pretty big so they can make a pretty filling lunch. They have great service and it is definitely a great place to celebrate any special occassion.

In Chicago, there are plenty of good steak houses. There are others that are more expensive, more popular, fancier, and more well-known. But if you are looking for a comfortable, classy but not ostentatious steak house serving good quality food in a convenient location, Kinzie Chophouse is a good choice. Located across the street from the Merchandise Mart, the only real drawback to Kinzie is the uneven quality of its servers. For those who eat fish and chicken and not beef, the shrimp risotto is excellent, as is the chicken pot pie. Kinzie also has good salads and a decent key lime pie. For a cheap date, check out the super cheap appetizers in the bar during happy hour.

We visited the Kinzie Chophouse with a group of friends for a birthday dinner. The restaurant was small and crowded, but not too loud. The is very knowledgeable about their cuts of meat and explain everything well. It was a good place to eat, but not outstanding. It's in a great location and worth a try.
