Bennigan's is one of my favorite lunch spots in the Loop. They provide good service, decent food, and the real plus to me is that they have serving hours on Sunday. When I have to work downtown on Sunday, it can be very hard to find a decent place to eat, but Bennigan's always fits the bill. Their menu is varied enough: I recommend the burgers, salads, and smothered chicken (one of my favorites). They have a bar area, but you probably don't want to sit there unless you smoke. Coupons are usually available in the Sunday "Chicago Tribune" on a monthly basis, so you can even save a little. I have been consistently happy with Bennigan's and think you will be, too.

So this place isn't anything special - you can get the same food at just about any of the other 'trendy' chain restaurants of this sort. Still - the food isn't bad and the prices aren't terrible. When you want something that is better than fast food but not gourmet or anything then this place is worth a try. The menu does offer a great variety of options but again - nothing really special about it.

Casual dining indeed. You can wear shorts, t-shirts, jeans, any type of casual clothing here. I guess as long as you have on a shirt and shoes in summertime most chains don't care. Have folks lowered their standard when dining out? Well maybe that's a question to be disussed another time. The food is usually good at all Bennigan's. It's no surprise to anyone because of the location of this Bennigan's that it can get packed. If that bothers you, go at off times. The service depends upon your waitstaff that day. I have had great service and not so great. Turnover for waitstaff at places like these is high, these are usually not career servers, I guess it's just a part time job for most. Let your tip reflect how you were served.

Bennigan's is a national chain restaurant, and so in many ways (decor, menu, prices), they're just like every TGIFriday's/Applebee's in North America. This one had a prime location right across the street from the Art Institute, making it a great place to stop for lunch or dinner if your'e in the area and don't feel like being adventurous. I've eaten here twice - once with a large group and once alone. The service was fantastic when I was alone. When I was with a group of eight people, it was a total nightmare. We were all on expense accounts and asked explicitly when we came in if we could have separate checks...they said of course, but when the bill arrived, it was a totally different story. Ended in a huge mess and they were quite rude and uncaring about the fact that we needed the separate checks for business reimbursement purposes.

It might just be that I have been going to Bennigan's since I was a child, but I really dig this place. It is fun for family or drinks. Yes, you might run into a wait or your server might not be the best, but this place is all about the atmosphere. You are paying to sit around and hang out with friends, and have a drink or eight. I think that their burgers are great and you can't go wrong with any of the appetizers. It's a fun place to be.

But other than that I really don't like this place. One of my co-workers got her purse stolen here too (so keep an eye on your things)!

I have to admit, sometimes I crave a chain restaurant. It's very nostalgic, and it's a good way to get some dependable American food. I'm sure everyone knows of Bennigans. I really like their fish and chips, and I also like their pasta selections. Their buffalo wings are pretty good too, although they could be spicier.

A good place to hang out with friends and if your looking for some good food its there also, the ubeat location on Michicgan Ave always has something fun to do. In the heart of Chicago this fun place to eat is deff worth checking out. Not to expensive either maybe15-25$ a person depends on what you order of course.
