I don't usually do these sort of things, but I needed to go out of my way to let everyone know how much I appreciated the service and efforts of my sales person, James.
I'm in my late thirties and recently suffered a severe knee injury, although I had surgery the rehab has been a long haul and my knee is very finiky about the exercises I do (I absolutely can't run). When I first went into the store it was mostly curiosity, I had no real intention to buy anything. James greeted me immediately and I was amazed when he said, "when did you have your knee surgery?" He had recognized the scars on my knee, because he had an ACL replacement too! James spent over an hour with me going through different elliptical machines (they had a great selection), I learned more from him in ten minutes than in three months of rehab, I never felt pushed or like I was being "sold" and I really felt that James was genuinely concerned about my health. I was so impressed with both him and the equipment, I bought it on the spot! Now, here's the part that really blew me away, James has called me twice since I bought the equipment to check on my progress, he even sent me an article he had clipped from a magazine about how to carefully stretch joints that have had previous injuries. I was amazed that even after getting my money, he would still take the time to do something like that. It seems that true customer care and sales people who really know there products is a thing of the past, but my experience at 2nd Wind gave me new hope. Thank you James! I've lost 17lbs and my knee has never felt better!
Sarah J
Pros: Incredible customer service!
Cons: none!

I regularly go to this store to stock up on golf balls and to see what new products they have in stock. The store has a wide variety of golfing products to suit all budgets. The staff at this store is what keeps me coming back. I have gotten to know them very well and consider them very friendly, honest and warm. The prices at this store are very reasonable and about the same as other golf shops. This store is highly recommended to all golfers who need supplies. Their location is in a very busy neighborhood so be prepared to look a while for parking

Active Endeavors started off as a clothier of any active activities, including skiing, working out, and clubbing. But it seems that now they are almost solely a designer clothing store. They carry great selections from Juicy, Generra, C&C, Citizens of Humanity, and many hard-to-find designers. They also have a good website. The store usually has really good sales. Good place to go for jeans and tees.

I think this is one of the cooler places to visit when in Chicago but it often gets overlooked for some reason - probably because it is so close to the other more 'well known' sites in the city.
The shows they put on are really neat here - you lay back and gaze up at the domed ceiling and watch the show.
The other exhibits are really cool to see, too!

The monthly (approx. every 6 weeks) Aldo Castillo openings are not to be missed! One of the few galleries that houses mostly Latino artists, it's located right in the River North art area. It's a step down to enter, below street level, but the view is amazing and the curator and staff very gracious. Usually exotic food from one of the local Latino restaurants is available when there's an opening, and of course wine. A great start to the weekend!

I was always curious about how to play bridge, but with no one around me that knew how to play, I decided to find a bridge club to learn to play. I loved this club although I felt a little bit out of my league in skill level and age group. Most of the members of this club are either retired or on the verge of retiring, so they were intrigued that a young lady was joining their club. The explained the game well and now I love playing with this club

These older boats can be found docked at Navy Pier. I personally know of two of them. The Anita Dee and The Anita Dee II(2) . They are not luxury cruise boats, they are "down to earth boats" that will take you for a short cruise on Lake Michigan. They do have a lounge area and they host special events and private partys. I have attended a private party that was held on the Anita Dee and all one hundred plus people had a great time. There was even a rock band on board.

This place has high prices for boring run of the mill products. There is another place right next to the Belmont red line train stop which is about ten blocks away that has more stuff. The prices wont be getting any better but at least the selection will increase.
