The Field Museum is more than a storehouse for biological and historical items; it's a place to learn without feeling like you're being instructed. The exhibits are really well put together, from shoes to dinosaurs.
Be sure to see the King Tut exhibit, open through January 2007. Admission extra.
City Pass saves you 50% on regular admission.
A good trip for families, friends and, of course, school groups.

I think this is one of the cooler places to visit when in Chicago but it often gets overlooked for some reason - probably because it is so close to the other more 'well known' sites in the city.
The shows they put on are really neat here - you lay back and gaze up at the domed ceiling and watch the show.
The other exhibits are really cool to see, too!

The shed aquariam is an awesome place. You will find every type of fish here. It is pretty interesting. It is a great place to take the kids. They will surely enjoy themselves. However, you cannot spend too long here. It does get kind of boring after looking at fishes all day. I found the dolphins and whales to be the best site. The fee for admission is pretty reasonable. I find it not to be too pricey or cheap. I would suggest everyone to go here. It can be prety exciting and fun.

Come take a stroll here in the summer and you will enjoy it so much. There's a stop for a free trolley near where I work, so in the summer time I love to hop onto the trolley and take a ride over to Navy Pier. There's lots of places to eat at and you can grab a quick lunch and stroll the pier and enjoy great views of the city and the lake. They have little shops here too that sell very unique items that you won't find anywhere else. I'm not a fan of this place during the winter time, because I find it a bit chilly, but there is always the IMAX theater, which is indoors and well insulated.

This great museum is located right near Lincoln Park Zoo and the lakefront. The Historicla Society has taught me alot about my hometown's history. They have alot of artifacts from American Indians and pioneer settlers. They also have paintings and sculptures from the days of yesteryear. They have a whole section devoted to Honest Abe where they even have a replica of an old room he was in. Many priceless works of art are housed in this museum.

I'm sure the first thing that comes to mind when hearing about the United Center is the Bulls. But this place is also house to many other events. I have been here for many concerts, other sporting events, and even a circus once before. Its a great stadium that is really well kept. Also the parking here is great. They have plenty of it so there's not hassles. Its always been fun for me everytime I have gone here and there's also plenty of security here so it is safe as well.

Buckingham Fountain is one of those Chicago landmarks that make you proud to live in the Windy City. This beautifully crafted fountain in Grant Park dates back to the World's Fair and occasionally shoots a huge geyser of water into air. It's seasonally operational, so when you see the fountain in all its majesty in full operation, you know the summer festivals can't be far behind!

More
This conveniently located center (Michigan Avenue and Randolph Street) is the perfect spot to find out what's going on in Chicago. The building houses a variety of events--from plays and musical performances to traveling art shows. It's a good place to get the latest information on free activities in the city or, for the tourist, to collect brochures and information on fun things to do and see in the area. This is also a relaxing place, where you can sit and enjoy lunch at the Corner Bakery or, if you work downtown, feel free to bring your own lunch and enjoy a noontime concert most days of the week. There's a small gift shop carring museum-quality gifts. The Cultural Center is housed in the old Chicago Library, and a real treat is seeing its Tiffany stained glass dome, the largest ever made. This is a good place for tourists and Chicagoans alike to explore. There's always something new, and always someone there to help you find your way around Chicago.

I grew up in Roger's Park and still visit this great park as often as I can. They have a pond, a great play area for kids and even a very small zoo. They take good care of the grounds and the animals here. There is a giant sprinkler that's on in summer months also.
