Had a problem

I ordered a pizza from here once and had a roach baked right in to it. If you cringed at that then think about if it was you who opened the box. I haven't eaten from them since. You need to think about what it takes in order to miss a large roach sitting on top of a pizza that you are cooking. It doesn't say much for the cleanliness of their place.

Good Group Restaurant

This is another nice place where you can take the entire family because everyone can find something to please. They have a cafeteria style set up and you can choose from numerous Italian style dishes, like pizza, salads, pastas, and baked goods. The food is decent. It is nothing to really rave about. But again we go here again and again because it makes a good group restaurant and it is also very reasonably priced.

Italian Food

This Italian fast food restaurant is located across the street from Illinois Masonic Hospital. What I really like is their bake minestrone and clam chowder but they don't have it everyday. Try their tuna salad wrap which include their italian thin sliced fried potato. They also has large selection of pizza, my favorite goes to mushroom and sausage.

Decent pizza

Pompei has some pretty decent pizza. I've had it twice, and I will say that the more recent time it tasted better than the first. We got a small caesar salad, which was more than enough for two of us to share as an appetizer to go with our pizza. The 1/2 tray of pizza is great because you get a good amount of pizza and there is plenty to heat up for another meal. The pizza is not very salty, but it is generally pretty good. Try the tiramisu too.... it is drier than some, but that's a good thing if you don't love the coffee taste. Overall, it's pretty good!

Just OK

Pompei is a nice chain place. Food is average at best. The pizza is nothing special. They have lots to choose from but the reheating of slices doesnt do it for me.

Had a chicken pesto sandwich once was good tasting but felt sick later. Would find better places to eat in the future.

Good for pizza and more

The selection at Pompei is great. They have a large variety of pizzas. The pizza crust is similar to focaccia bread. Pompei also has pizza streudel which is like a baked sandwich pocket. They offer a large variety of fillings for the streudel too.

Pompei also serves salads and pasta dishes. I've heard the chopped chicken salad is excellent. The pasta I've had there was good but I'd stick with the pizza and salads.

Pompie is a great catering service. They provide great food at a great low price. They are well known in Chicago and they will greet you in polite and friendly way. Pompie delivers, and have a great menu to select from. Pompie is a great catering service and you should try it out.
