Don't listen to the haters--this place is great! I was really excited when I heard it was opening because I've been craving a frozen dessert that wasn't too sweet. I finally made it down there today. Anyone who's familiar with the Pinkberry phenomenon should recognize the setup--mod style, punchy colors, well-edited selection, etc. The staff was really friendly and the yogurt was delicious. I got the original yogurt which was nice, not too sweet, a little sour but not aggressively tangy. The texture was somewhere between soft serve and sorbet, which I liked. I got raspberries as my topping and they were very fresh. The service was very friendly although they seemed to be working out the kinks with their offerings still (they had strawberry-banana as one of their flavors but it wasn't on the sign). All in all it's a refreshing frozen yogurt option for people who are tired of super-sweet stuff.

Kefir-based soft serve gets topped with everything from cereal to fruit at this Wicker Park hotspot. Jennifer Olvera
on 07-17-2008
In Short
There's a space-age feel to this dessertery, what with its stark white walls and glowing pendant lights. Behind a curvaceous counter, cubbies containing pineapples and pears hint at what's to come, and staffers in hot pink tees fish to fill orders for salivating snackers. Toppings, from Washington cherries and blackberries to Milk & Honey granola, Vosges chocolate--bacon bits, Carob chips and mochi balls, get piled on whirls of original or pomegranate-flavored kefir. Layered parfaits and blended smoothies expand possibilities to include cappuccino, peach and acai-flavored treats.
