Since it was B.Y.O.B., we brought a favorite bottle of wine. The waitstaff was very nice and offered to open the bottle for us. The prices were reasonable, and the sushi was fresh. The atmosphere was urban chic and very appropriate for those approximately 23-40. The house music (European) was a little loud, but not oppressive. All in all, the experience was enjoyable... we would go again, and we suggest you go a first time! Enjoy!
Pros: Edamame.
Cons: Restroom violation.

I've been here at least five times and have never had a bad meal. I usually get sushi or Thai food but they also offer Chinese, and Korean. They have a large menu and everything I've tried there has been really good. Every time my friends visit me in Chicago we make a trip here because we cannot get enough of the Crab Rangoon. If you like Crab Rangoon this is THE only place you should be getting it at. $5 for 8 HUGE pieces of Crab Rangoon! Usually places give you like 4 tiny pieces for much more than that. The rest of their food is reasonably priced--maybe a couple dollars more for an entre than most small Asian restaurants.
They have mediocre service, but it's not so awful that I wouldn't dine there.
It is a dim-lit very well decorated restaurant with candle lit tables and bamboo on the walls. It's very classy!
Pros: crab rangoon, classy, romantic, food
Cons: service

7 of my friend and I went to the restarurant after a recommendation. We all had an excellent experience. The sushi was the best we have had in along time and we loved Roberto's specials. The service was excellent. The waitress was friendly and took time to explain and suggest some great dishes on the menu. My husband and I are definitely going to make this our preferred sushi restaurant.
Pros: Thumbs up.

I have been eating at this sushi place for 3 years now and love it just as much if not more every time i go. The food is great. I stick mostly to maki rolls but have also had the sashimi and nigi which are great. I also have had their teriak dinner and undon noodle dishes that are delightful. All their portions are very generous. The miso soup and app. ginger salad are fantastic and get you warmed right up! Besides the sushi, the company is great. It is a family owned and operated place. The hostes/server/owner Lee is always there to greet you with a smile and a "see you tomorrow" and her husband Jesse is the master behind the sushi! His sister Lillia is the charming lady/server who always loves to talk to you:) Exceptional food and exceptional company.
Pros: sushi, service, portions
Cons: parking can be an issue. also closed for weekend lunch and btwn 230-5

I have been a regular for about 3 years now. I eat here about 3 or 4 times a week, I never get sick of it. I have to admit the first time my sushi easting friend took me here I did not like it because I was only used to the sushi across the street from them. Little did I know that every sushi place is different. Now I go there all the time and have left the place across the street in the dust! I didn't think the service was great in the beginning but now that I'm a regular they know what I order and bring it to me right away. I always order teriyaki sauce on the side and a few of the waitresses remember that and bring it right away, I love that! It has recently gone under new management and they have spruced the place up a bit. It looks a lot better than it did and I believe it is more attractive to passer bys. I sure like it! I think the owner has another restaurant on clark and belmont under a different name and they put my favorite sushi chef, Don Luis, at the new place which I'm not happy about but I continue to go to this place SEVERAL times a week. My favorite roll is the dynamite roll with avocado and I always ask for them to roll it with less rice and its never a problem. Their bathroom is always clean too. You can tell a lot about the restaurant by how clean the bathroom is. This is a place with metered parking and it can be rough to find parking but I live 4 blocks away and drive to Nohana often. I can't remember the last time I couldn't find a parking...you have to think positive! I love their happy hour but the prices have gone up, however, they are still great prices for sushi. Remember though 12-1 and 5-6. The restaurant doesn't open until 12 and closes at 2:30 then reopens for dinner at 5. If you like good sushi and don't want to spend an entire paycheck then Nohana is the place to try and it won't disappoint.
Pros: Price
Cons: Parking

Really called House of Sushi & Noodles - I come here all the time. Hands down best deal in Chicago for sushi. All-you-can-eat is 14 bucks and they include most of their rolls on this list. I 100% totally recommend the Godzilla roll. DELICIOUS! I have never had sketchy sushi here and they are always always busy. Its designed and layed out really well. I always enjoy my experience here and I recommend it to everyone!

The quality of the food here is great and I went there twice. I was seated promptly, the server was this very over energetic Japanese man who always was smiling and friendly. Great guy. But the food was served sort of fast. I mean that the my group did not have enough time to finish the edamame and soups before the entree was served. Still, great food quality.
Pros: Quality
Cons: parking

Top quality, fresh fish with larger than average portions - the sushi contains large pieces of very tasty fish. For $2 it's very nice to get real crab on the kani sushi and the daily special roll was great - not as many maki options as I would have liked but for someplace this small I can understand. It's still tough to beat Wakamono where the sushi and maki is so good it pretty much melts in your mouth but this place is a great hidden gem, just don't expect to park anywhere nearby.
Pros: Great fish, nice presentation, friendly service
Cons: Limited seating, virtually no parking nearby
