The food is delicious and the owner went out of his way to help us order something that he was sure we would enjoy. He even brought special things for our baby to try. I really enjoyed this place, and their authentic, delicious cooking. Some of the best Indian food I have ever had (and I've eaten many, many places!).
I would definitely go there again. I highly recommend it! And the prices are great.
Pros: Great food, charming owner, good prices
Cons: None!

Quick tutorial -- Mysore Woodlands serves South Indian food, which is very different from most other Indian restaurants, since most Indian restaurants serve North Indian food. So if you're looking for another tired version of butter chicken, stop reading now.
Mysore Woodlands has AMAZING dosai, which are large savory crepe-like things filled with vegetables of your choice. Crispy, flavorful, delicious stuffings (or just sada "plain") -- they are perfect every time. The sambhar (soup) and the chutney are out of this world as well. The idli, uttapam, and other menu items are also top-notch, but it's the dosai that steal the show in my opinion. You MUST try this place to experience the yummiest South Indian cuisine anywhere.
Pros: DELICIOUS
Cons: parking on devon

Oldest restaurant in Chicago city. One of a kind chicken tikka masala, and best tandoori chicken, samosa, and curry in whole Chicagoland area. Sag (spinach) paneer (cheese), and made all in fat free oil. When you eat inside, you can see outside a nice view. i'm a customer for 10 years of this restaurant. I have gone to many restaurants, but this restaurant is the best by far. All of this in a very reasonable price. Cheapest priced food in all of Devon area.
Pros: delcious food and service
Cons: Only 61 people seating

Roti is my favorite lunch spot in the Loop! The Chicken Roti sandwich on flat bread is always fresh, tasty and a healthy choice. The portions are large and I believe the value is exceptional. The falafel is the best I have ever tasted! Not anything like the dried out typical falafel. I eat here often because there is so much variety - sandwiches, plates, falafel, kebobs, salads. If I've been out of town on business and I haven't had my Roti fix for a week, I can't wait to get back into the office because I crave the food here. I usually don't write reviews, because I am usually disappointed by one thing or another from a restaurant, but I have to say, I have never been let down by the quality of the food here. I love the way the food is displayed, you can see how fresh everything is. The first time I came here and saw the line literally out the door, I wasn't going to wait, but then I realized, this line must for a reason, and it was! Yes, there is always a long line, but it moves very quickly and it is always worth the short wait. I also like to sit outside in the good weather I think Roti is a true winner! Finally a restaurant that is capitalizing on the benefits of a Mediterranean diet. I think I'm their number one fan! You don't know what you are missing if you haven't tried it. You should really try it!!!
Pros: Fresh, healthy and fabulous tasting food
Cons: Closed on weekends

I have been to this restaurant a few times and every time I've gone the food and service was great. It is small, but I never felt that I was cramped while there. I highly recommend the eggplant parmesan.

The lunch deal is only 9.95 and they have really freash food for their lunch buffet. The place is a little dim during that hour and there are usually not that many people. If you woke up late on Saturday morning, want to relex and get good food for cheap! This is the place to go to.
Pros: Their lunch deal is super cheap
Cons: It's a bit dark and it's hard to find.

I would ALWAYS go to Standard India restaurant when I still lived in Chicago. I relocated to Philadelphia almost 5 years ago, but, miss my hometown restaurants. Here, it's a GREAT DEAL for the lunch and dinner buffet. I would have to eat lightly before going to Standard. I love the buffet, because there's a good variety and is sure to please the novice or experienced diner. Wonderful Vegetarian soup, Samosas, Tandoori Chicken, Saag Paneer, Chicken Tikka Masala, to name a few of the dishes. Vegetarian and Vegan-friendly. I shall be back when I next visit Chicago.
Pros: Economical, Variety, close to transportation
Cons: None
