This is my deal - if you are going to have ice cream, then do it the right way. Don't try to skimp on calories and fat because you'll end up with just that - skimpy ice cream. So for me, Treats Frozen Desserts just doesn't quite cut it. It tastes like it needs a major sugar jolt and the mix ins aren't sugar laced enough for me either. I'll give them a couple of stars for the concept, but seriously do ice cream the right way - with lots of sugar and calories!

I really love this place during the summertime. It is so much fun to walk over here and get a treat that is not only cool and refreshing, but not all that high in fat either! Its a frozen yogurt version of Cold Stone Creamery. You basically pick you base frozen yogurt flavor and add one all the extra toppings you want. Yea, its not as rich as ice cream, but it still tastes great and makes for a delicious snack or dessert!

I am a real sweet snob and I feel like their treats are lacking something. Yes, it is intended to be healthier and lighter than ice cream, and that I suppose it is. I'm all for being healthy, but not expense of taste. Their flavors are not bursting with any kind of unique taste. It was sort of like a boring frozen yogurt... not even a fun frozen yogurt. The people are great though and will allow you as many free samples as you like. But if you are watching calories, or are trying to eat healthier, I would recommend finding out what exactly this stuff is made of -

Treats is a great alternative to the overly sweet Coldstone Creamery. You choose a frozen yogurt flavor, and then choose from a variety of mix-ins. My favorite is the vanilla frozen yogurt with heath bar and sugar cone bits. This place can get very addicting in the summertime. You never get bored, since you can always create a new flavor by adding different mix-ins.
