I have gone to the Allgero Hotel various times for events and they have a really nice banquet hall and ballroom. The staff do an excellent job bartending and walking around with appetizers. The decor is beautiful in rich saturated colors and wood paneling. The restrooms are clean and nicely kept. The coat check is huge and efficient. I would recommend holding a company event or a party at the Allegro Hotel.

I usually don't stay anywhere near Michigan Avenue when visiting Chicago, but the price was right and I needed to be as nearas possible to the Merchandise Mart. I was very pleasantly surprised by this chain-owned hotel's service, cleanliness and downright coolness (the room all had high speed . The rooms were small but very nicely done and very clean. The staff was efficient and helpful, recommending unique restaurants in the area that suit me perfectly. And the location (right on the red line El) got you to any point in the city easily. I recommend this hotel highly.
Pros: hotel comfort/clean, staff, very hip details

Costco is a great wholesale place to go. It is very similar to Sam's Club, but I like it better because it seems to be better organized and better priced to me. It is a great store and though you have to pay for a yearly membership, you can really save a lot of money in the long run with their low prices. One of the best things they have at this location is their bakery. The make fresh cakes there and the cakes are so super delicious. Of course, they are reasonably priced too! Great for grad and birthday parties.

This place is right along Chicago's Magnificent Mile. I have recommended this place to numerous friends for special occassions like anniversaries or birthdays just because at this place you will feel really special. The rooms are really well-kept and clean. The beds are wonderful and each room comes with a separate living area. It makes a perfect stay in a very good area. The rooms are not very expensive, comparatively. I found the food at the hotel to be a bit expensive, but it was definitely worth trying it.

I thoroughly love the overall design of the Sofitel hotel, which is actually a bit west of the famous Water Tower. The building has a funky overall shape, and has really cool interiors without going overboard with any trendy looks. The rooms are quite nice, and the Cafe Des Architectes restaurant serves some much underrated French cuisine.

Well, I sure can't afford a room here. But, boy, do I wish I could. I've heard lots about this hotel that has been voted number one in the entire nation!
But just because I can't rent out a room doesn't mean I can't enjoy all the other great things this hotel has to offer. For instance, go here and enjoy the chocolate bar they have every Friday. This place will fill any and every craving you have for sweet stuff! Or if you aren't really the avid chocolate fan, check out the awesome spa, which is open to everybody.
Either way you do it, make sure to make your way to this hotel, even if it is to only enjoy the dazzling lobby.

I have enjoyed several stays at the Renaissance, a very elegant property just a block north of the Chicago Theater. The lobby is not overly extravagant, so you may actually feel comfortable lingering a bit here. The rooms are quite nice and comfortable. The fourth floor has an indoor pool and small workout room.

I had some guests that visited from out of town and they stayed at this Holiday Inn. They enjoyed their stay a lot. And they really liked the hotel. The hotel rooms were real clean. The service was good. The breakfast they tried here was good as well. They really like the bagels and fresh fruit they served. My guests loved the location of this hotel. It was near to the train and bus station. It was a perfect place for them to stay at.

Westin advertises its luxurious and comfortable hotel rooms and their advertisements are right on the dot. My husband and I stayed at this hotel for a convention and we were amazed at the comfy of their huge layered beds. The service here was amazing. We got a great deal on a hotel that really delivered five star service. We tried both their restaurant downstairs and the food from room service and both times we were very amazed with their fresh and tasty food. They also have a great little drinks and snack bar in the room (but be careful - its pretty expensive!). Great hotel to stay at if you are in Chicago.
