If you are visiting Chicago and can afford to stay here it's definitely worth it! Its got a great view of downtown Chicago and the amenities are wonderful! They have great room service staff and restaurant staff. The restaurant in the hotel is awesome. One thing that sucks is their valet service, it takes a little while to get your car and its expensive but other than that it makes a great experience in Chicago!

I won a trip to this hotel and I must say it was beautiful. In the heart of Chicago it is walking distance to many attractions. It is a little high priced, but well worth it. Below is the concert hall and outside they have the Blues Brothers automobile. It also has a restaurant that has a great ambiance. I would definitely recommend it.

I can't really think of any real negatives about the Hotel Indigo. Yes, the bathrooms are small (but incredibly, not the smallest I've had to deal with - NYC holds that title), and the dining options are limited. But, since we knew that going in, I can't call those negatives; they're simply facts of life. I didn't go to Atlanta to sit in a tub or eat at the hotel restaurant, so it didn't matter to me.
We stayed at the Indigo because it's dog friendly, the price was right ($115/night), and the convenient location. I kind of expected a place a little tattered or worn - maybe because of the dog friendly aspect - but it was every bit as nice, fresh and clean as it's website photos claim. The only hint of its pet policy was people walking through the lobby with their dogs - and the guys running around ready to clean up after them (although it appeared that cleaning up after the dogs wasn't often necessary!). The staff was very friendly to us (we snagged a lot of treats for the dog, too) and the room was very spacious and bright.
We were about a block from the Marta station, and only had to retrieve our car once (fortunately, because the Rockettes are currently performing at the Fox Theatre, and the Hotel's parking garage was getting a big workout from it). There were plenty of restaurants within walking distance to choose from, so the lack of hotel dining options wasn't an issue for us.
I used the fitness center twice. It was small, but quite servicable (two treadmills, and elipitical machine and a bicycle; a universal-type of weight system, and a few mats for sit ups, etc.). It was accessible 24 hours a day, and it appeared not many guests were taking advantage of it.
Basically, the hotel is as advertised - maybe a little modestly appointed, but what it does, it does very well. It's clean, comfortable, cheerful and really an excellent value. I'd not hesitate to stay there again - with or without the dog!

I never stayed at this place..but I went here for breakfast before. It was really really good. I ate at the breakfast buffet here. They had all sorts of fruits, pancakes, toasts, bagels, muffins, eggs, and much much more! The service was great too. They let us right in and served us juice and tea. The meal is a little expensive, but well worth it. You get great food, service, and an awesome view as well!

My husband and I stayed here, after randomly reserving the room on hotwire. We were a little worried about it being too modern, but it was a great hotel. Very clean and crisp. The staff were very friendly. The hotel is in the awesome Gold Coast neighborhood, close to restaurants and walking distance to the beach on Lakeshore drive, and Michigan Avenue. We didn't realize we would have it so good! Highly recommended.
Pros: Great location, clean, view from some rooms, quiet, modern, service
Cons: small rooms, no pool

I have begun the forgiveness process. For the sake of this lovely hotel, I will "overlook" my last experience. The weekend from Hell is what I would call it, friends.
I guess the front desk/reservation people "forgot" to tell us they were undergoing massive construction in the hotel that particular weekend. They "forgot" to mention that drills, hammers, and the sweet sounds of screaming men with tools would awaken you at 7:00 a.m. and continue to annoy the living daylights out of you for another 10 hours or so. Oh, joy. But don't worry, I got even with them - a free weekend, that's how!
Now, let's get past that nonsense and get to the good stuff. The rooms are awesome! Beautiful two room suites with french doors, two televisions, sleeper sofas, fridge and tons more amenities. Nice bar, restaurant downstairs. Friendly and efficient staff. If they would let me, I would move in today. But only if I NEVER see/hear those construction dudes again.

I stayed there for 3 nights and the service was amazing. They exceeded my expectations and when I needed more towels I was serviced in a sufficient manner. The room was in order and I felt a sigh of relief to see that the sheets were clean and bathroom was properly sanitized. I've been to a couple of hotels in the past that have not met these standards so I was a little skeptical about but the Marriott and their employees surpassed my expectations and I would recommend them to anyone visiting Chicago.

This hotel is very cute and comfy. When you think Chicago hotel, you usually thing of a big and flashy place, but this is a lot different. It is just a small building that is kept very quaint.
They have a limited number of rooms here but all their rooms are kept well and clean.
They offer some decent things here like free cable, a gym, and a free breakfast. It is a nice place to stay at if you are looking for a quiant little palce that is still close by to a lot of cool, local attractions.

The Sheraton is one of the largest hotels in Chicago, so it could get a bit impersonal if you are staying here. My room faced south so I had a decent view of the Chicago River. I liked the room as it was sufficiently spacious even though it had two double beds in it. The convention and meeting rooms here are rather nice, one of the strengths of this hotel.
