We selected this hotel based upon my past stay and the great room rate. Know that if you do get a value rate for a room at this hotel...you will get exactly what (they feel) you have paid for. The room was a disaster! Slow (almost clogged) drains in the sink & shower, broken window handles and dirty carpeting. Do not expect glasses, robes or towels to be replaced. We went up for a nice weekend and felt like they could care less. In hind-sight I wish I would have complained to the front desk. That room should not be used until it is fixed up.

A friend insisted we try The Fairmont Chicago after they stayed there during a recent wedding. We could not have chosen a more perfect place for our getaway Chicago weekend. From the moment we arrived to the day we departed the staff was helpful, responsive and clearly interested in our needs. They event sent us a small anniversary card..I am not even sure how they knew! The rooms we were in faced the Lake and Navy Pier and it had a oversize bathroom and very comfortable bed. We had dinner at Aria our fist night and went back again our second night because the food was so good. We are planning a late December return to go shopping for the holidays and we will stay at The Fairmont again. Service was superior! Pros: Location, Service, Caring Staff Cons: None, None, None

After much searching we choose the Fairmont because of the comments that I have read on the internet. All of the good ones where right. It was the nicest and most elegant hotel that I have ever seen. The service was perfect and they pampered your every more. The Fairmont club entiled us to an upgrade to a suite. It was huge an magnificiant. I would recommend that anyone that has the chance to stay there, should. I know I'll be back. Pros: Fairmont Club, Fancy, Perfect Cons: Parking Price, Room Service Service

Exceptional views of Navy Pier....we were overwhelmed! We had access to shopping on Michigan Avenue and State Street yet our hotel was not in the middle of the hustle and bustle. The service was five-star.....rooms and bathrooms were large and we loved the vanity area outside the bathroom. The Serenity Bath is a must! This is a hidden jewel! We will be back!
