Where to begin. My friend came to visit me and this place was a nightmare. She had called before and told them she needed a handicap accesible room, that she was coming in late and they said both of those things wouldn't be a problem. When we got there we spent the next two hours arguing with the desk clerk about us not getting there "in time" and they had given away our room. Finally they got us accomidations at the W (which is an AWESOME hotel) for the night. The next night we had to come back to the Hotel 71 and the room they first gave us was not handicap accesible. The second room was handicap accesible but it STANK. We found out that the shower curtin was covered with mold.
I would stay away from here at any cost.

This is a very modern hotel, right off of Michigan Ave. in downtown Chicago. They "lost' our reservation, which was a hassel to check in, and the front desk person wasn't very accomodating. The rooms were very clean and the decor was great, but the parking was ridiculous. I understand its a big city, but they charged us $40 a day to park, when right around the corner it was $15. Nice location for downtown, but I don't know that I would stay there again.
