Great Chicago Carpentry did the work replacing my kitchen cabinets last month. He assisted in the design phase and I liked his ideas. The cabinets were replaced and I needed some additional shelving. I am happy about the way the work turned out and I would recommend them because he showed up when he said and did the work as he promised.

by bloomdavid8 01/02/2008 I was looking for a carpentry company in Chicago for a home improvement. I needed work on doors in my home. Some needed to be cut down and some needed to be replaced and some didn't open and close right. Also, there was quite a bit of trim work that was also needed as it was old and most was not looking good anymore. In addition I had several special storage problems that needed to be worked out in a creative manner. So it was a small remodeling project. I found Mitch who is a carpenter with Great Carpentry through a review here. It gave his web address. www.great-carpentry.com He showed up on time for the estimate and gave helpful ideas and the price was right so I hired him. His work was excellent and I am satisfied. I would use him again.

I had found Great Carpentry through their website and through a referral from a friend. I needed some interior doors installed as the old ones had like 5 coats of paint and would no longer close. Mitch installed new doors and new trim around the doors. The baseboard also needed to be done. He stained and finished the wood beautifully. I found Mitch to be competent and knowledgeable about his trade. He was fair in price and stuck to the agreed deadline. I would hire him again. Next I will get him to install some cabinets.
