I see a general practitioner as well as a OB/GYN at Northwestern Hospital. I trust both of my doctors and have referred numerous friends and my sister to the doctors here. I highly recommend Dr. Danielle Pierro (general practitioner) and Dr. Mark Feldstein (OB/GYN).

If New York has Macy's, Chicago has Marshall Fields. I am so glad they keep this store alive ! This department store at the heart of state street is a great place to shop, even though the pricing can be high, but if they do the sale, you still can get a pretty good deal from past season goods. I like how they decorate their window during Christmas time, really pretty and has become a wonderful tradition of Chicago.

I am German and I come to Chicago frequently. Whenever I stay in this beautiful city I go to "Printers Row Fine & Rare Books". The atmosphere in this cozy bookstore, the helpful and friendly staff and John LaPine's passion and expertise always give me the feeling that I discovered an oasis. Here I find the love for specialties, for historical details and biographies, for individual creativity, for excellent bookbinding and for an elegant interior which mirrors my own passion for books perfectly. I don't find that unique mixture in any chain bookstore. I admire entrepreneurs who go an independent way. As a customer I give them my constant support and sympathy. If more customers favor quality and uniqueness over cold uniformity we can help such stores to survive and to be strong. "Printers Row Fine & Rare Books" is a jewel in Chicago.

I got both my eyes examed and my glasses here. Just as promised Lenscrafters was fast, accurate and fairly affordable. They have maintained my glasses too since I've purchased them (and they even maintained my previous pair even though I didn't buy it from them). The service is above and beyond what I expected. I was at a loss for what type of glasses to get and the technition picked out the perfect pair.

UIC Medical Center is a great place to go if you are looking to get medical training. They offer a very competitive program that is hard to get into, but once you are in, you are gauranteed a really good education. The campus is really nice here and since it is a state school, the tuition is comparatively cheaper than other big medical schools.
This center also has a student clinic, where people of all ages can come in and get general check-ups, exams, and x-rays. The facilities are good and inexpensive, but keep in mind that you will be meeting with a student and the wait times for an appointment can be very long. That is the comprimise you will be making to getting affordable health care.

I recently went to the Lakeside Eye Clinic - which was formerly Taub Eye Center- and was not sure what to expect since there are new doctors working there. The doctor was very nice and took the time to answer all of my questions and concerns. His staff was also very polite and knowledgable in all areas of care. I was shocked to learn of all the procedures that are now available through the clinic as well as all the glasses and contacts available in the Optical Shop! I was very impressed with the quality of care I received there. Just wanted to let everyone know that this is the place to go for all your eye care. They even took my VSP!

I have seen numerous doc's but Dr. Del Campo not only diagnosed me correctly but helped get rid of it. He's a intelligent guy and the staff is very helpful. I recommend him highly. The wait time is a little long but the quality time is what I wanted and needed.
