Offering something for everyone, vegans, vegetarians, and meat-eaters alike, the menu is huge! Mexican, American, comfort food, burgers, stir fry -- anything you could want, all prepared healthfully and at reasonable prices.
They support local organic farmers, as well as local and small-scale breweries. There is live music on the weekends, and occasionally you will run into a special benefit. Customers come from all walks of life. This is a fantastic fun place to go, not only for their fabulous food, but for the fun atmosphere.

With a wider range of stir fry and sauce options than most restaurants, the buffet bar lets you customize your stir fry til it's absolutely perfect. This Chicago chain also boasts the best bread in the entire city! Their flat bread (roti prata) is addictingly scrumptious and, if you place a bowl of their cheese with the blue sticks in it, the cooks are happy to make you a grilled cheese on the roti prada bread! Other friends have said that it's great with honey too....a definite must try when you're at flat top. This is a great place to go with friends who aren't embarassed to go back for seconds (thirds,fourths,etc...) Definitely a great place to go on a budget!
Pros: INEXPENSIVE, DELICIOUS FOOD!
Cons: NOT GREAT FOR LARGE GROUPS

I've only had the salad bar, but it is really good. The choices really are fresh like they were just put out. The fruit options are really good too. They charge by the pound so don't overload your salad with stuff you don't need.

I just had a wonderful evening at the Veggie Bite location in Wicker Park. This is delicious vegan comfort food in a happy bright and colorful environment. But the best thing about this place is the staff -- such a chatty, friendly, welcoming bunch! They went far out of their way to make my dining experience spectacular.

I think Jamba Juice is a good place to go to once in a while when you are in the mood for some fruity drink. I am not a big fan of juice and smoothies. I also am not a big fan of their prices. The drinks here are a bit expensive, yet the sizes are real big. Three people can seriously drink out of a large smoothie cup. The only drink I have tried here has been the strawberry-banana juice. I thought it was pretty good and refreshing. There is never a big crowd here. It is a nice and enjoyable place to sit and drink.
