I have followed Charles through his journey to find the perfect fit at a Salon. He has arrived at Salon 161 downtown on Michigan and Erie. He said that Natural Elements was a wonderful learning experience but he really missed the downtown scene. I thought I would pass this on to all his guests who where wondering where he went. I really think that Salon 161 will be the perfect fit, I know it was for me! I just loved the space and staff. By the way Charles goes by Jayce at Salon 161 since the one of the owners name is Charles as well. The number is 312-943-4122
Pros: They told me where Charles was!
Cons: none, this is truly a fabulas salon, but I am a Charles fan.

Living in Colorado I worked with DILLY LILY through emails, phone calls and photographs for flowers and floral arrangments for a rehearsal dinner in July in Chicago. My guests and I walked into an elegant and beautifully decorated private dinning room. Outstanding!!
Professional. reliable, most talented and courteous..that's DILLY LILY.

This store will probably attract you right from the outside. In their window, you can catch a glimpse of a great variety of lamps, most of which have stained glass shades. These hand-made lamps are so beautiful and are sure to accent any room prefectly. They have a huge assorment of lamps, but watch out because these lamps are also very expensive. They also carry a whole assortment of little knick knacks and decoration items.

Nice tea selection from standard Earl Grey to Chai. Excellent finger sandwiches - particularly the chicken salad. Warm sweet scones with clotted cream were delicous and made fresh. It was a nice break from the chilly weather outside.

We had to come here because our usual pool joint was booked and what a pleasant surprise. The tables are well maintained. The cues are good enough. The pool room is AMAZING with super high ceilings, large windows that open up for a great breeze on a warm night, and funky old chandeliers. Lots of people but not crowned and the price was right on the money. We will definitely start coming here more often.
Pros: Fantastic space for shooting pool

I just moved to the Portage Park neighborhood about a week ago and am trying to visit every local business. Elemental Gifts was first on my list (just yesterday), since it was highly recommended by my neighbor. I needed a gift for a female friend and I am extremely grateful to have a shop like this in my area. It took me a while to find just the right thing, since they have such a diverse selection. I finally settled on a pair of handmade earrings by a Chicago designer. The (young) lady that owns the shop is great and she did an amazing gift-wrapping job. I will definitely be coming back.....perhaps even for that signed Hester jersey (drool). And maybe even to have some framing done or to buy art to put in my new place.

Crate and Barrel has some really nice kitchen items. All their items here are unique and the most fashionabale and in-style. Their stuff is really nicely designed in cool colors to match any kind of kitchen. I love the plates here. They have new colors and shapes in for ever season. The prices are pretty reasonable. It really depends on what exactly you purchase. This store is real nice to go to if you want something to brighten up your kitchen!
