Good: The product was delivered on time. Bad: The quality of Jenifer Convertibles products is just plain garbage. I bought a $1,700 sofa couch and 2 recliners. The couch's mechanism was broken - unknown to me and destroyed my brand new Cherry harwood flooring by scraping it under the couch whenever it was closed. There service tech came over and ordered a replacement part - no they are not in the business of replacing their products. The chairs are flimsy also.. Improvements: A new couch and Brazilian Cherry Floor.. Other: Bottom line : Most people pay to have garbage removed from their homes and not brought in.

We've chosen a sofa-bed and bought a $99 lifetime leather protection plan for it in JC in September 2006 only because they said they had it in stock and could deliver it the following week. They delivered a broken one. They said they can deliver another one in the following 7-10 days (they said they had it in stock!). We agreed to wait. We found out later they didn't have it in stock, and it took much more time. They delivered another one which was not perfect either three weeks later. Some time later (in October)we reported the scratches on the sofa that are supposed to be covered by the leather protection plan. It took them a month to "investigate" and send us a letter saying that they refused to replace the damaged parts or do anything to treat the scratches, although the sales person promised they will replace any damaged/scratched part. We called them again. In November they finally said that they were sending us the components for our sofa-bed, and that it can take up to 48 days for them to arrive from oversees. Now three months later we still haven't received anything. If we knew about this 5 months long sofa-hassle before, we would never have bought anything in JC. Recently, we walked into the same JC-store, and the same sales person was praising the quality of the furniture and described how excellent their lifetime leather protection plan is! Nothing has changed.

Jennifer Convertibles is a great place to get very classic not too fancy cheap furniture. The variety is really good and not too flashy or the type that goes out of style tomorrow. I have always found the quality of their items to be really good and hold up well over time considering the low cost. The staff at this location is also very helpful but not pushy. Skip their delivery though its way too expensive.

I recently bought a very nice sofa and sleeper sofa (not the ones that pull out) from their clearance center on on West Addison. The floor models are in good shape, with a few scratches. The sales lady was very nice, helped us decide which pieces we wanted and gave us a very good deal. Where they get you is delivery, which can go to $150 depending on how much you spend. If you've got a few friends with a van or want to even rent one, you come out much cheaper.
