Due to some smart thinking on their part and the combination of the Bridgeport tradition of interpreting policies in their own terms, the New Archview Restaurant has succeeded in becoming the lone 24 hour smoking establishment. This is your typical family restaurant with a huge but no frills menu. Also you can become mesmerized by the assortment of cakes and pies circling in the display case. The waitstaff is amazingly friendly and bend over backwards for customers which is rare in any diner. The place is a great value. I can order a grilled cheese and fries plus a whole bowl of soup and a bread basket for under 5 dollars, which is great for college students on a budget with a big stomach. It's a very accessible location. It's just a block or so from the 35th st. orange line stop. Also the 62 bus towards Midway stops right in front of it. There is free ample parking.

It's fun to go to Archview and hang out, drinking a cup of coffee or munching on a slice of cake or pie from their dessert rack. They also have some great entrées, with breakfast foods being a popular choice. The coffee's great for being a cheap cup o' joe, and the waitresses are friendly.
