I would definitely have to agree with the other reviewers about how this place is expensive. In fact, it is way overpriced. While the persentation of the sushi is pretty nice, the sushi itself is average and nothing that you cannot get at any other place for half the price.
The restaurant has two levels. On the ground level, you have a casual sit down place where you can watch the chefs make the food. If you go upstairs, the atmosphere is very different. There are very dim lights up there and it is quite smoky. I've eaten at both levels and prefer the ground level only because I would like to actually see the menu and my food!
The service here is pretty good. The waiters are pretty attentive and give good recommendations. If you are going to have dessert, I would suggest the fluorless chocolate cake - its the best of the few choices.

First off, parking can be tough on weekend evenings and the place do ge very crowded and noisy. Sushi is of very good quality. Price wise.... well, it is very very expensive. Not a place to fill totally empty tummies. More of an after-dinner kind of place where you get a few bites. It's easy to get over $100 per person if you include drinks.

We heard such great things about Mirai that we went there for my birthday. I was really disappointed. Maybe it was an off night, but the sushi and rolls were nothing special. I don't mind high prices for great quality fish and innovative rolls, but Mirai was way overpriced for the quality. Yes, it was good, but not good enough for the price! I don't think I'd ever go back. I did like the relaxed vibe upstairs over the busy dining room downstairs and parking is plentiful.
