I used to be an employee of XSport and couldn't take it anymore in regards to how they train us to take advantage of customers and play on their fears in order to convince them to purchase personal training. I deeply regret working for this company and have vowed to never again resort to this type of behavior in order to bring home a paycheck. Instead I have opted for a much needed career change. Please do yourself a favor and pass on signing up for the personal training sessions. The are overpriced and believe me when I say that anyone can do it on there own. Most of the trainers aren't even certified or CPR qualified. Of course management won't inform you of this as they just want your money. They will tell you whatever they feel you need to hear when it comes to closing the deal. Make sure to read your contracts very carefully because we can cancel, revoke or suspend your membership without a refund if we see fit and don't even need a valid reason to do it. We have the upper hand and there is not much you can do about it if you ever feel a need to voice your concerns. It's not worth the time and trouble if you ever try to get a refund. Good luck in that department. I know firsthand because I used to deal with these customers on a daily basis. Sorry folks but let the buyer beware in this case.

I just moved from the suburbs to lakeview and got the upgrade to the Xsport fitness in the Chicago area, I went to this Xport Fitness and was the terrible service Ever! I have a lot of training sessions left from the suburbs branch and when I went to talk about getting a trainer and the guy on the trainer desk was such a Jerk, didn't even let me speak! horrible attitude plus he has to go less to the tanning bed. So I decided to go to the Ashland location and kinda got a better service there hopefully it will stay like that.

I was a member of X-sport Fitness for one year. I joined when the one on Dundee Road in Arlington Hts was being built. At first I was really happy. The gym is very nice with great machines. The main reason why I joined was because of the yoga classes. They offered several different types and times. About 8 months into my membership they started changing the times of the yoga classes, making them much earlier in the evening and harder to make. (5:00 PM Dinner time). I talked to the manager and them called corporate to complain. There was quite of few of us that were upset with the change in schedule. The people that were upset were the ones that were married with kids. We were basically told by corporate too bad. Once my membership was up I didn't rejoin. It really is a shame. My general overall feel was they were trying to appeal to the younger crowd.

I have been with Xsport Fitness for a couple of years now and i am pretty happy with it. This was the cheapest gym I could find at the time and I'm sure it is still the same way. Now what keeps me a member here for good is the fact that they are open for 24 hours. I like the gym too because there are a lot of machines here. I have never had problems getting the machine I want because there always seem to be more machines than people. They also have a spa here, but I have never really tried that.

I've belonged here for about a year now, and overall its fine. I got a great deal when I signed up ($550 for 18 months), but the guy was kind of a jerk when I signed up. Really rushed my friend and I through the tour, complained about being sick, lots of attitude when I asked questions. But the gym itself is really nice. Always enough lockers in the locker rooms, and I never have to wait for a cardio machine. I've only done a few classes, so can't really comment there. And the pool looks nice, although I haven't used it. Its a pretty specific age range of people, which is kind of weird (early 20's through mid 40s). One nice thing is you can park for free for 2 hours in the lot. Overall it's okay, not great. One other thing I'm not crazy about is they occasionally offer a "free" personal training session. They don't actually do any training, they just do a total analysis of your body type, exercise habits, body alignment, then give you a hard-pressure sell on signing up for training.

I had a pedicure here, after i got a gift certificate. The top of the line chair made me feel very relaxed, and the professional who made my feet look great was friendly but not super nosy. It was a nice experience. They also have tanning beds and massage services. Free parking while you're in their facility.
