I have been going to Glazed Expressions for years - I have watched the place morph from one store into a chain, and so I now have my pickings for creative paint your own pottery fun. The atmosphere is relaxed, the staff is usually helpful. Feel free to BYOB, creative inspirations, and friends. You can hold Bachelorette parties there, just plain Girl get togethers, or a date if both parties are willing and creative. Something different to do week nights - On saturday/sundays it is is usually pretty busy with kid parties - so call ahead. You can reserve a table for any time - and if you do not finish your piece in one shot, just take it home and bring it back when you can. Prices are reasonable, and gift certificates are available. If you have kids, they do have party packages available - and they have that party system down to a science. From first time artists to talented veterans, this is a great time.

If you are visiting Chicago and can afford to stay here it's definitely worth it! Its got a great view of downtown Chicago and the amenities are wonderful! They have great room service staff and restaurant staff. The restaurant in the hotel is awesome. One thing that sucks is their valet service, it takes a little while to get your car and its expensive but other than that it makes a great experience in Chicago!

This is a great place to go if you are planning any sort of a party. They not only have designed plates, table clothes, etc, but they have plain ones too that you can mix and match as you would like. This is also your decorations headquarters. They have streamers, balloons, center pieces, banners, and so much more. You name it and they have it. You can really make your party a hit with stuff from here. Their pricing is also warehouse sort of pricing so you're not paying top dollar for a few decorations. I also usually stock up on paper items from here for around the house because not only are they reasonably priced, but they are durable and of good quality too.

Throwing a bachelorette party? Well, then you have to come to this place! It's a small shop but it has everything to make your party a really fun affair. They have all sorts of toys and cute stuff to decorate and ideas for fun games. It is a bit expensive, so watch your budget! This is also a great store to stop at if you are looking for some items to spice things up a bit. They have a pretty decent sized assortment of toys, videos, and games.

I like the store Papyrus mainly for one thing. That one thing is their selection for picture frames. They have such unique and beautiful designs and they look great for your own home or as gifts to friends and family. I don't think I have seen any other store with such a beautiful selection of frames. They also have nice greeting cards and gift wrapping and bags section, but the picture frames are by far their best feature. They are a bit high priced, but worth it for the unique item you are getting.

Our non-profit organization shops for all our supplies here. You are cheerfully greeted when you enter and they have a huge selection with great prices. They extend discounts to schools,churches, and organizations - that's why we shop here. The best part: they are the only party store we can find that delivers all over Chicago. Their new store at 6185 N. Canfield Ave. is spectacular with the same great service. We have never been disappointed and neither will you.

Antique Coach and Carriage provided me with a pleasant evening. The driver was very polite, and helpful with pointing out landmarks. The company itself was very cooperative in helping to make the ride special.
My friend once called ahead and made reservations, and had them pick him and his girlfriend up from a restaurant. While on the ride, he proposed to her. Of course she said yes, and then the driver told him there was a bottle of champagne for them under the seat.

This little thai restaurant is one that I had passed many times but had failed to notice until fairly recently.
It is actually a decent pick in terms of thai because the restaurant is really nice. They have all my favorites here and their pad thai is actually pretty good.
The service here is fast and although they do have outdoor seating, I prefer the indoor seating because the restaurant is nice and cozy in the inside.

Early To Bed, up on Sheridan and Foster, a block off the Berwyn red line, is simply amazing. Not only do they carry everything under the sun, but their staff is informed and stockful of suggestions. Their prices are fair and on par with most other places.
But what is truly amazing is the atmosphere. The store sees itself as women-oriented, boy-friendly, and open to all genders and sexual orientation... and they make good on these words. In the store, there are tables and displays of their products out of the packaging that you can feel and turn on, to judge for yourself. The vulgar and flashy packaging most toys are sold in is kept out of sight, to promote a positive and empowering experience. Though its target audience is women, I've never felt out of place there or unwelcome as a guy.
The staff is phenomenal, willing to discuss products with comfort and knowledge. I've also observed them being very sensitive and astute to customer's varying levels of comfort with the topic.
I recommend Early To Bed to anyone and everyone. This store gets it right.
