The name says it all. Filene's Basement is actually a basement. It is located under TJ Maxx in the basement. The store caries a lot of clothing. Most of the clothes are okay. The prices are pretty reasonable. There are high, low, and pretty cheap prices on some items. It really depends on what you are getting and when you get it. The place is not set up real nicely. The people who work here are pretty friendly and helpful. I do not go here much, but when I do..I am usually out of the store in less than 10 minutes.

This Filene's on State is worse then the store on Michigan Ave. This Filene's is actually in the basement...under TJ Maxx. They don't have much of a selection and still charge some outrageous prices for last season's designer clothes. Amazing deals can be found though. It can be well worth it to search through the store and put up with the unfriendly staff.

Okay well the prices really make up for the fact that the people working there really don't care if you need help. I was in the fitting room one time and when I handed the lady back my clothes that I didn't need she gave me this look like I was imposing on her life, or like I asked for her second born child. But the prices are good and I have found some great clothes there.

Feline's Basement is a great place to get designer clothes at discount prices. This particular store is huge and has a wide range and selection. The staff, however, seems bored and uninterested most of the time and parts of the store are really disorganized. If you have the time to really dig around you can find GREAT discounts though.
