This place is great. You can get all types of deli food fresh. If you are already going to the deli at a place like Jewel then you should take a side trip here instead, because their product is much better. I have eaten here a few times, and it is always nice to get one of the last pieces of culture in Lakeview.

I've never had a bagel here. But their sandwiches and matzo ball soup are fantastic. Sometimes I get a craving for a simple meal, nothing fancy. The Bagel is just the right place to go for a tasty homemade lunch or yummy dinner. They also have great crispy fries.Good diners like this are disappearing, as we make room for all the trendy veggie places. This is an old fashioned refreshing break from those places.

This deli proclaims to have authentic NYC bagels. Being a transplant from NYC, I don't know if I would completely agree with that statement. The bagels are good, but not that good. The sandwiches are decent, especially the pastrami. I've been disappointed by the soups - they're a bit watered down and flavorless. They have daily specials so it's a good place to get a cheap lunch.

This is a great deli to stop into for some fresh bagel or bagel sandwhiches. Its actually a restaurant, but I usually just stop in here to grab a good, to go lunch. They have great assortment of bagels and all fo them are made fresh on the premises every day. You can either get a bagel sandwhich, but I usually go for an onion bagel with the garlic and herbs cream cheese, its so good! Give this place a try for some good, fresh-baked food.

If you grew up in a Jewish household, there are days when you will get a jones for some matzo ball soup and a corned beef on rye, or maybe some lox and bagels with cream cheese. Satisfy that craving to a fare-thee-well at this great restaurant and deli on Broadway. They have another one at Old Orchard too. I have never had a bad meal here. This place seems to be always busy, but the service is fast and friendly and the food is just the best. Of course the prices can be breathtaking, but what would be the fun of eating at a Jewish deli if you couldn't complain about the prices?
