L'appetito's espresso drinks are nearly the best in the city; they blow Starbucks out of the water (i'm talking about real espresso, not sugar-laden "creations"). Plus, the selection of fresh Italian cookies will be enough to satisfy your sweet tooth ($8-9/pound). A selection of cold drinks, sandwiches and other prepared foods, as well as deli meats and cheeses are also sold here. A great alternative to Food Life or other food courts if you are shopping on Michigan Ave. On top of that, L'appetito sells imported coffee, pasta, candy and other items. Never very busy, but service always seems a little "disgruntled."
