This great full service salon is located right in the Water Tower. The pricing here is amazingly high, but you will feel like it was worth it when you leave because you will feel and look so great. Kiva offers healing therapies to help you explore a deeper sense of peace and purpose. Your journey begins once you ascend the spiral stairs to a private dressing room. I love their signature treatments like the botanical blends facial, aromatherapy massage and lemongrass pedicure. Kiva offers great products and services at prices comparable to other luxury spas. The prices here are really high and the staff can be a little snooty, but they do great work. Gina is great for waxing and all the nail techs do a nice job. The paraffin pedicure is to die for -- but don't expect a lot of conversation the salon sort of has the feel of one of the strip mall places without the low prices. It's also much cleaner than those places.

Kiva is a full-service salon and boutique. It offers services that you just won't find anywhere else--creative offerings like Chakra Stone Therapy stone facials and Hot Lava Mud pedicures. Plenty of spas in Chicago claim to be full service, but Kiva actually is. For example, Kiva's fall makeover package includes a haircut, highlights and style, manicure pedicure, facial, and make up application. Prices, by Chicago standards, are fairly average, but the calming environment is anything but average.

I went to this salon because a friend worked here and she gave me a discount. Otherwise, this place is very expensive, too expensive for me at least. But their service is definitely one of the best I have seen anywhere. They have very well trained hair stylists who work to give you the look you are looking for. They use very nice products. After I left here, I was definitely very happy with their work. As for now, i am just saving up for another great trip to this wonderful salon!
