This is a little restaurant in the center of boys town that serves all different types of food. The service here is good in a funny flamboyant boys town way. The seating in here isn't optimal for too large of a group, but bring one anyways, because you are ensured a great time. The prices are decent and the atmosphere is alive.

This is a nice BYOB restaurant to go to with a big group. The decor here is not really that great. It is just weird unmatching furniture all around. But the service here is awesome. The waiters and servers are both really friendly and great at suggesting meal options. I had their seared salmon and it cooked just right and served really nicely. I loved the BYOB aspect and there are many little shops around this place to grab a good bottle of wine before you go in. This is a good casual place to go hang out at and enjoy a delicious meal.

I was so pumped on this place when I heard about it. I anticipated sitting down and having their creole breakfast and coffee, but it ended up being a flop. I have made better food at home. The people who worked there were extremely funny, and I would go back to try something else. It has a cool boys town atmosphere. I will leave it at worth a second chance.

Hearty Boys catering advertises New Orleans style chicory coffee and beignettes on Sunday mornings. I was very excited to go there, especially because the beignette mix and the coffee both come from Cafe Du Monde, in the French quarter- A place that I absolutely love. The cook was so excited that someone ordered this treat that he wound up under-cooking it and spilling most of the powdered sugar on himself. After seeing our frowning faces, he graciously brought out another plate of fully cooked powdered donuts. But they were nothing like what I've had in New Orleans. Still inspired by the hype that surrounds this place, I forced myself to go back and try something else. I tried 4 breakfast dishes and a quiche. All were for the most part flavorless. I will say though, that I like the way they seem to decorate with utensils, this is kinda worth seeing. I won't go back and I'm pretty disappointed in the place.

so there was a lot of hype for Hearty Boys- they won that food network contest or whatever, and are now on televison? or is it a radio show? Anyhow, there was a lot of hype surrounding the restaurant (which is specifically known as "HB", I believe).
Personally, I wasn't really impressed. I had the game hen with mashed potatoes and it turned into a mushy, bony mess by the time I was done with it. The other food looked expectedly elegant, but in that generic-gourmet restaurant sort of way. Entrees range from about 15-18 dollars, which is pretty good, but again, nothing outrageous, nothing spectacular but nothing bad either.
