This is another strange open mic coffee shop up north. Head here on the weekends and get yourself a bowl of oatmeal and a cup of coffee or maybe just a scoop of ice cream. This place has a much better selection for food and drinks then the other independent local shops around it.

I think the place is more attracting than what they have to offer. The coffee here is okay (not the best) but the place is reallly nice. You can go here to hang out with friends, study, or even enjoy the view. There's always a lot of people when I go here, but it never gets real crowded like other coffee shops..so thats a plus!

Coffee Chicago is a great little coffee shop in the edgewater area. This coffeshop has some of its own great coffeeblends and great iced lattes. This coffee shop is also really comfy and they have a great selection of magazines to browse through as you enjoy your coffee. If coffee is not what you are looking for, they carry a whole line of Edys ice cream here too! The selection is great and you can enjoy either or both good coffee and great ice cream here as well. They also have outdoor seating on their patio in the summers which is really nice.

This used to be a big chain sort of shop, but now there aren't so many around. This is the only one I personally know of that still exists. I love this coffee shop because it has a very comfortable and relaxing feel to it. They have some great drinks here and also a cool new twist - coffee. This little coffee shop on Broadway is a very nice place to relax and hang out or to even do soem reading.
