Cartridge World really makes owning a printer a lot more cheaper. I''m always printing things out and my cartridge runs out quick. Instead of paying around 30 dollars at an office supplies store, I can get it refilled here for half the price. If you add the savings up, this place is really a bargain. The employees are really nice too and they can explain all the pros and cons of this system to you anytime.

Leisure traveler will have a lot of fun at The Savvy Travaler. Great location right on Michigan Avenue, with maps, travel and location specific books, travel accessories and bags, and various guides - almost anything you need to get equipped for a trip. It doesn't have as much large luggage as, for example, a department store, but for all the other things that make travel easier and more fun, they have. Even if you're not planning a trip, it's fun to browse to see all the cool gadgets being developed. While a bit on the pricey side, most everything is durable and high quality.
PROS: great selection of stuff for travelers

Taylor Street Medical Bookstore is a great place to go to get any medical books. The bookstore is very well organized and has a ton of books to offer. Their selection is better than any school bookstore I have seen and they have a huge selection to choose from, including many authors and publishers.
The pricing is expensive, but consistent with any other medical bookstore you will find.
You should visit this one if you are looking for any medical books.

My boyfriend and I stopped into Advance Uniform the other day- I had been admiring the bleak-looking sign and oddly-mannequined display case for quite some time. Inside was a cool array of uniforms, which made me nervous when I realized that my boyfriend and I could leave there broke but looking exactly like Chicago Cops, no question about it. Guns and badges and everything....still, it made it a bit more exciting...it's weird to see a place like this in the ever-trendifying south loop, but I like it that way!

I bought a desk from this store a couple of months ago. That was a huge mistake. It was on sale so I jumped for the deal. It was one of those assemble it yourself sort of deals and it seriously took me FOREVER to assemble it. It had such small parts and really confusing instructions. ARGHH.
Well besides that horrible desk, I did get pretty good service here. They run great specials here and their products are always great. The guy even helped load that heavy desk into my car. Four stars for good selection and great service!!

My first visit to the Chicago Teacher Store was a very positive one. I had previously been to The Learning Tree and was unable to find what I needed for my students, but I found everything I needed at the CTS. They have very clearly organized sections - math, science, art (which they have a great deal of elementary-level art supplies, which is hard to find downtown) - and they have an extensive supply of teacher's resources. Their book selection (resource books for teaching versus trade books) is large and they have lots of classroom decorations as well. I've seen better teacher stores in the suburbs, but I liked this one far better than The Learning Tree.

Great supplies store for office and school needs. They have everything here. This place carries the most simple things like pencils to the most complex items such as furniture. I would highly reccomend this place is you are setting up an office. You will find evrything you need here. But dont get this place confused with office max. I always get these two mixed up. They are so much alike and they have almost the same items in their stores. I prefer office depot though.

I purchase from this store regularly when I need decorative and unique ribbons for craft projects. The staff there are very friendly and are eager to help you match a ribbon to whatever craft project you are making. The prices for their ribbons per spool are very cheap. But if you buy ribbon by the yard then that ends up being more expensive.
