3rd coast is awesome. Great food, and good value. Their sandwich selection is very solid and the portions are very good. It is a cool spot to go and chill out and read a book or just grab a quick lunch!
Pros: great food, good menu
Cons: food comes fast, but wait staff is a little unintentive

Adorno's offers a different kind of thin crust but it's tasty and good. The sauce is a little different, almost a little spicy but it tastes great. Their other food is very good as well and they consistently deliver under an hour and it's always piping hot.

My boyfriend and I stopped into Advance Uniform the other day- I had been admiring the bleak-looking sign and oddly-mannequined display case for quite some time. Inside was a cool array of uniforms, which made me nervous when I realized that my boyfriend and I could leave there broke but looking exactly like Chicago Cops, no question about it. Guns and badges and everything....still, it made it a bit more exciting...it's weird to see a place like this in the ever-trendifying south loop, but I like it that way!

Al's serves the best beef I have ever had and probably will have. Great service, great food, and good prices make for one of the best dining experiences. Not full of memorabilia, and not a lot of ambiance, but still a must do if in Chicago.
Pros: Great food/prices
Cons: Not an exciting place to eat in

Fantastic Food! Great Service! This is such a fantastic place to sit down and have some great Asian style food.
They so not serve alcohol nor do they offer BYOB but they do have some interesting beverages besides soda and water like Thai iced tea and Thai coffee all vegan style. You could easily take a meat-eater to dinner here and they would never know that all of the dishes are prepared vegan. Parking is easy right on the street and normally there is no wait for service.
Pros: Good Food, Easy Parking. Affordable, No Wait
Cons: No Alcohol, No BYOB

This may be the best and biggest Blues record co. & label in the city that's currently running strong. They are celebrating their 35th anniv. this year; congrats guys! I love Blues music and was just at Blues fest this weekend at Grant Park. Some of their amazing artists were there performing or hanging out Corky Siegel,Ko Ko Taylor & Elvin Bishop. They have a vast amount of talented players signed with them. Charlie Musselwhite who is a harmonica master is also with them. I go to this place pretty frequently - anytime I'm getting a craving for what I consider teriyaki bbq chicken (sorry, I'm not hawaiian so I can't say if it's authentic, but it's delicious, regardless!). I love their mini-bbq plate lunch but don't be fooled by the "mini" - the portions here are very generous. comes with the hawaiian staples of white rice and macaroni salad. i love their spam musubi as well. and they do have some veggie options (e.g. tofu, side of broccoli), as well as most kinds of meats and some fish in bbq form or otherwise. what's great is they cook your food to order, so the meat doesn't get dry under a heat lamp. takes a little bit longer, but definitely worth the wait. the bbq chicken is really tender and flavorful. ambience is nice if you want to sit and eat, but I usually order ahead and get takeaway..
