You'll feel like you are in Willy Wonka land. The decor is great here and you'll enjoy the designs and the cool menu named after the classics. But that just about it for the "great" stuff here. Just to get in here, they charge a twenty dollar cover charge. phewwww. Then the desserts inside don't get much cheaper. What sucks is that the desserts don't taste so good either. I guess for a first time experience, this place is good. But otherwise, skip it.

I'm not really a big fan of this place. Their dessert bar is actually what really drew me to this place, but I was a bit disappointed. The desserts were good, but really overpriced. Another thing I don't like is that the place can get a bit too loud. But I think it is worth it to go in at least once and take in the experience of the dessert bar. Although it was expensive and I did not like most of it, there were a few worthy things to try out.

...to be taken seriously. While interesting in concept - a dessert only bar - the follow through leaves much to be desired. The wait staff is beyond slow, and unfortunately, also very rude. The dessert, while good, is way too overpriced. If you are going to splurge, there are other places in the city to do so and make it worth your buck. Drinks are average in taste, and also overpriced. Skip it.

A dessert bar is a great concept, but our experience at Sugar was disappointing. We had reservations, but were told we had to leave after 2 hours upon arrival and the service was slow. The desserts were good, but overpriced (e.g $15 for a small portion of creme brulee). I won't be going back.

We went to Sugar for drinks after a friend's birthday dinner. We had a reservation for 8 people at 10:30. We arrived on time, but ended up waiting for over 45 minutes for our table. When we were finally seated, the table was so small that it barely fit all of us. The drink menu is huge and the drinks themselves are pretty tasty. The dessert menu was okay and we ended up ordering a few desserts to share. The desserts took almost an hour to be delivered to our table. The music is very loud and it's difficult to hold a conversation with someone seated right next to you. The bathrooms were disgusting, definitely not what I expected out of a bar of this caliber. We won't be going back.
