Formerly located at Sheffield just south of Belmont, Pat's Pizza is a northside staple. They have fast delivery, a heavy hand with the pizza toppings, and an extensive list of Italian entrees. While the thin crust is not my favorite (tasts like a flattened pretzel), others I know think very highly of it.
The cheese they use is very good; it holds all the toppings in place but is still gooey/stringy enough to make me happy. I would like to see more sauce on their pizzas, though.
They often have specials, such as ordering a large (or maybe it's a certain $ amount?) will get you a free 6-pack of soda.

I have used this maid service several times when I have had guests over because with the guests and kids it can be really tough keeping everything in check and tidy! This service is a life saver for me. They do not have an hourly charge, like most other places. They just charge me one flat rate for my entire place, which is a real money saver. The maids are well-trained and very thorough with their work. They really get my place looking clean. They also always arrive on time and are very friendly.

This theatre is amazing. It looks okay from the exterior, but the interior of the building is real pretty. Its nicely built with a nice view from every seat. There are all sorts of shows held here-- mostly operas and musicals. There'[s a show here almost every weekend. The only inconvenience is the parking. Its hard to find parking nearby and it costs a lot to park.

Come on, let's show CTA some love! They are not perfect by any means. But when I need to use them once in a while, I am very grateful they are there. When I was in between vehicles a couple years ago, I took CTA all the time. Considering the price of gas and the fact that you could go all the way from the end of Evanston to the South side of Chgo for 2 bucks makes you realize we have one of the best public transit systems in the country. The new fare cards seem to be working out well these days also.
If you don't like waiting too long for buses, call them or get a route schedule; they are usually not off by much. It will help a lot, especially in winter.

More
I can't really think of any real negatives about the Hotel Indigo. Yes, the bathrooms are small (but incredibly, not the smallest I've had to deal with - NYC holds that title), and the dining options are limited. But, since we knew that going in, I can't call those negatives; they're simply facts of life. I didn't go to Atlanta to sit in a tub or eat at the hotel restaurant, so it didn't matter to me.
We stayed at the Indigo because it's dog friendly, the price was right ($115/night), and the convenient location. I kind of expected a place a little tattered or worn - maybe because of the dog friendly aspect - but it was every bit as nice, fresh and clean as it's website photos claim. The only hint of its pet policy was people walking through the lobby with their dogs - and the guys running around ready to clean up after them (although it appeared that cleaning up after the dogs wasn't often necessary!). The staff was very friendly to us (we snagged a lot of treats for the dog, too) and the room was very spacious and bright.
We were about a block from the Marta station, and only had to retrieve our car once (fortunately, because the Rockettes are currently performing at the Fox Theatre, and the Hotel's parking garage was getting a big workout from it). There were plenty of restaurants within walking distance to choose from, so the lack of hotel dining options wasn't an issue for us.
I used the fitness center twice. It was small, but quite servicable (two treadmills, and elipitical machine and a bicycle; a universal-type of weight system, and a few mats for sit ups, etc.). It was accessible 24 hours a day, and it appeared not many guests were taking advantage of it.
Basically, the hotel is as advertised - maybe a little modestly appointed, but what it does, it does very well. It's clean, comfortable, cheerful and really an excellent value. I'd not hesitate to stay there again - with or without the dog!

It's unsual, to be sure, but when I went here for a concert I fell in love with the venue. It's large, but a fun place for a popular rock concert. The drinks are expensive! The area is a bit shady too, so I wouldn't go by yourself.

Navy Pier is amazing. All my friends who come visit Chicago always want to go to Navy Pier. Its an actual pier that is along Lake Michigan. This pier has many different things for you to do. They have a bunch of great restaurants, little booths to shop at, boating rides, a little amusement park, a theater, and so much more.
No matter what age you are or what your interests are, you will definitely be able to find something interesting and fun to do here.

I went here as a chapperone for my son's school field trip. I actually found this to be a really interesting place. Its located in a beautiful spot, just along the lake. Inside, it is quiet and peaceful, with lots of great little booths and exhibits giving info about the universe, planents, and stars. We actually watched a show in the theater. While most of the young kids were yawning through the show, I found it informative and pretty interesting. I guess this is a place that is really geared towards those who have a genuine interest in learning about the universe. Not first grade students!

Great place to hold your reception, very fancy looking inside though it's not that attractive outside. Friends had their wedding reception here and they were allowed to bring in food from outside, which is nice because a lot of places lock you into a certain caterer. Overall, nice ambiance and look.

Even though I am a fan of Subway I really like quiznos too sometimes. They were the first sub shop I know of that offered the toasted option on their subs and by far they are definately the best at it. I agree that over the years they are getting more limited and the portions get smaller where the prices get bigger it seems. I just usually keep an eye out for their special which typically is a pretty good deal.
