Starbucks has become a household name now. It is so common it is almost sickening. But there are a few things here that are hard to find anywhere else! The cafe mocha drink here is so good and I have yet to find anyplace else that can make it as good. On a daily basis though, it does get quite expensive. But what can you do? Life has almost become dependent on this huge chain.

This is my favorite Starbucks in Chicago, and the only one in the city that I will even step into. They have their own satellite radio station, something like "Starbucks Radio." The station plays one of the smoothest mixes of music I've ever heard. Only problem is that if you go there for a couple days in a row, you'll begin to hear a pattern of the same songs. Still there's something special about being able to hear Aretha Franklin, Frank Sinatra, Spanish Rock and NIck Drake all in the time it takes you to drink a grande half caf low fat soy latte.
This Starbucks is in the heart of the gallery district (River North area).I've heard great things about their free Saturday morning gallery walk. They have great art on the walls, interesting clientèle and a groovy staff that will often sing along with the music. They've got their regulars, and I may be considered one of them because I'm there at least 3 times a week. I usually get there around 6:15 and am able to mellow out a little before work starts.
I give this place 5 stars because of the music. But I must say that they do know how to brew coffee here too. This is not your typical Starbucks, the coffee is pretty good here. And again, they'll serve you in a mug if you ask and give you a free refill if you are nice.

Good: The upholstery work was fantastic. The seams are all straight and the bar stools don't wobble at all.. Bad: I would have preferred to buy direct.. Improvements: It would be nice if they could offer more items since the quality is so good..

Good: They were efficient and knew the bar stools well.. Bad: I wish they were out of state so I could avoid sales tax. Although I guess the money I saved on shipping made up for it.. Improvements: I wish they would offer quantity pricing on their website. I had to call up to get better pricing..

I love this place. The prices on some of their entrées like the burgers and pasta are reasonable, but if you are looking for great food and don't mind paying for it then they have the best cuts of meat and lobster in town. The service here is great, though I have had some trouble with the people up in front. The food is enough to make you forget about any problems that you might run in to.

You can't go to the south side and not make a trip to Home Run Inn. I guess that might be a little over kill, but it is very good. This place still has a new feel to it. It is great for any occasion i.e. a date, dinner with friends, dinner with family, etc. Great food and great service at great prices.

I recommend going to this place in the summer when they've got their outdoor seating all set up. You can always here great music and taste better than bar food food. It's a great place to go for a couple of drinks and sit in the sun or even have dinner. Try it!
