My husband attended a focus group here, they give you parking and refreshments while you wait and talk about whatever the subject. We hired this florist to construct many floral arrangements for center pieces that for a function that we were organizing. This company impressed us with the arrangements and their prompt delivery. The flowers were very high quality and the lady who put them together is truly an artist. She used some unique flowers to make some very unique designs that looked awesome. Their prices were very good, I thought that the final bill would be really expensive when I seen how good the arrangements were. They delivered the center pieces on time for the function and they lasted very well through the night. An excellent florist that is highly recommended!

I've been going here for a while now, but I think they recently sold the business to someone else because it looks different lately. There are all these wild looking rugs or blankets hanging outside (yes, even in December). It's kind of tacky looking if you ask me. Inside is very cramped, and most things are a buck, but they now carry even some furniture and fancy paintings! It's a "we sell everything and anything" type of store. I like the deals you get on gift bags, wrapping paper, bows and other items. If you buy these same things at Osco or Walgreens, you'll pay $3 or $4 but it's only a dollar at this place. The people who work here can be slightly intimidating. They watch the store like they are protecting pricrless antiques at Bloomingdales or something! They are always hovering over people, making sure you don't rip off their collection of plastic flowers, I guess :)

My sister's birthday was last Sunday. I couldn't find a bakery near me that was open on Sunday! So I went over to Treasure island in hopes of finding a decent cake for her. Their bakery was actually pretty nice. I had expected a Jewel or Dominicks type bakery but this place has a much better seelction and some very good looking cakes. The cake I ended up getting looked better than it tasted though. It was a red velvet cake that was pretty dry on the inside and was iced with an icing that was so sweet, it was hard to swallow.

Treasure Island is a really upscale grocery store. They carry lots of those items you won't find at Jewel or Dominicks, like fresh cheeses and gourmet food. The set-up of this store is really nice. They have a great layout and everything is organized very well. But the prices at this store are pretty steep. They do have weekly specials, some of which are real money savers, but besides that, most of their grocery items are very expensive. When I go here I usually stick only to the sale items and the specialty items. But it is a great place to check out.

The firm made some serious mistakes on my tax returns and it cost me dearly. The experience to fix the problems was not pleasant. I wish I could give zero star.
I later had all my tax returns prepared by them examined by my current CPA and found over a thousand dollars of missed deductions.
The fee was not that great. My current CPA charges only slightly more.
Below are my 2c to look for a good tax preparer:
1. Even if the tax preparer makes a mistake, it is ultimately your responsibility to get it right.
2. Make sure the tax preparer is an Attorney, CPA, Enrolled Agent, Enrolled Actuary and Appraiser.
The obvious reason is people have these credentials typically know more on the topic than people who don't.
A less obvious reason is professionals with these credentials are bound by some code or rules and even by law. Violation of them can result in diciplinary actions against them. In addition, the IRS's Office of Professional Responsibility's jurisdiction, as described by Treasury Deptment. Circular 230, is only over Attorneys, CPAs, Enrolled Agents, Enrolled Actuaries and Appraisers. Note that ABA and ATP are not on this list.
In case something goes wrong, your ability to complain to the professional associations and the IRS gives the tax preparer motivation to properly fix your problem.
Whereas you have little leverage working with a tax preparer without these credentials. When mistakes made by this firm cost me serious $, there was very little I could do.
3. It is one thing to see logos of professional associations on a firm's web site, it is another thing that the person preparing your tax has these professional credentials. For example, the National Association of Enrolled Agents (NAEA) allows non-EA members and even these members are allowed to use the NAEA logos. Although their website displays the NAEA logo, the person preparing my tax was not an EA.
It is important to check with the proper organizations your tax preparer's actual credentials. For attorney's and CPAs, the State Professional Regulations web site is a good start. For EAs, check with IRS. You should also find out beforehand your options if the tax preparer makes mistakes. The more you can do and the severe the consequence, the more leverage you have.
