We met with Amy 2 months before our wedding. We didn't know what we wanted for our cake with the only exception....we didn't want anything traditional. With our wedding at Wrigley Field, Amy came up with 3 different desings that "knocked it out of the park". I still can't believe that the end result was a delicious dessert! Amy was very easy going and listened to every last detail that we discussed and she took the reins and delivered a work of art that our guests still have not stopped talking about! I felt guilty cutting into it, but I'm glad we did because not only was it gorgeous to look at, it was absolutely delicious. I would reccomment Amy Beck to anyone that needs a wonderful cake for any event. Pros: Professional, easy to work with, exceeds every expectation Cons: none

I worked with Amy for about 2 months on a cake for our comapny's 50th year anniversary party. We are based in MN, so had to all the work via e-mail and mail. It was a very detailed concept we were looking for and she nailed it perfectly. The cake was a surprise for the owners and they couldn't believe it. (They were each in the cake as figures)! It was also received well with all the attendees of the event, so much so, that we are in the process of having the top (which was removable) brought back to MN to put on display! It should be here by Monday!!!! Thanks Amy for all your hard work and attention to detail!

We met with Amy a little less than a year ago. It was like walking into a friends home. She was very welcoming and the smell of the cakes being made was out of this world! I had already spoken to her about surprising my husband with a groomscake before we arrived so she really paid attention to what flavors he liked best. She asked us to tell her about ourselves and as we spoke she sketched, minutes later she had drawn the perfect wedding cake. It was everything we wanted and the flavors were outstanding. My husband and I are avid motorcyclists and I had Amy make the Harley Davidson logo as his groomscake. He and our guests were wowed with that!!! We were married at the Adler in June and months later everyone is still talking about how amazing our cakes were, visually stunning and tasted awesome!!! Amy is hands down the best this city has to offer in cakes!!! Pros: superior taste and customer service Cons: NONE

Everyone was in awe of her work and amazing attention to detail. When I did the tasting I couldn't decide on a filling so she boxed up some cake and the fillings I was torn between for me to take home. Amy is a true gem in this crazy world. Doing business with her was like dealing with my best friend. I will suggest her to everyone I know! Pros: Great Service, Very Professional, Beautiful Work Cons: NONE!

I was just married on September 26th and Amy made our wedding cake. When we first went to our tasting, she was so friendly and cared about what we wanted. She did not try to get us to buy an outrageous cake. The cake was like no other cake I have ever tasted. Each time I contacted Amy, she remembered me by name and I felt pleased by not being just another client. Her cakes are fantastic and the service you get is even better. Thank you so much for helping to make my wedding memorable.

I loved the wedding cake Amy did for us. It was beautiful and it was really, really good. We did a few tastings before finding Amy, but weren’t wowed by how any of the cakes tasted. Then we had a tasting w/ Amy and signed her right away. Her cakes don’t taste like your typical wedding cakes. They’re moist and flavorful and her work is beautiful. She was very easy to work with and listened to what we wanted. We also did 4 different cake flavors and fillings (1 per layer). So, we had a cake station which was a big hit. Meet w/ Amy if you want your cake to taste really, really good and for it to be beautiful as well.

Amy Beck was our cake designer for our July 2009 wedding. When I started planning the wedding at the end of 2008, a friend recommended Amy Beck Cake Design - "amazing cake, great price, and don't miss her chocolate bourbon cake, my guests are still talking about it! My friend was dead on right. Since cake is one of my favorite indulgences - I know a good cake when I taste one. I didn't even bother with other tastings once I did my tasting with Amy. Everything was amazing, especially that chocolate bourbon cake! We went with a cupcake tower, which allowed me to have 6 different cake/frosting combinations! She also designed a groom's cake for us, modeled after my husband's running shoe (we are both marathon runners). It was such a good copy that one of my male guests, also a runner, came up to me and said, so Dave wears a Brooks Axiom 3 too? Now, its my guests who can't stop raving about our wedding cake and cupcakes! I highly recommend Amy Beck Cake Design. She was a dream to work with - and we can't wait to hire her again for the special occasions in the years ahead.
