We had to come here because our usual pool joint was booked and what a pleasant surprise. The tables are well maintained. The cues are good enough. The pool room is AMAZING with super high ceilings, large windows that open up for a great breeze on a warm night, and funky old chandeliers. Lots of people but not crowned and the price was right on the money. We will definitely start coming here more often.
Pros: Fantastic space for shooting pool
Cons: None that I noticed

My husband's business came here for development training! They got to bowl and hang out, then eat some nice food and learn in a separate room. He said it's a cool atmosphere, and they had a lot of fun. Only problem is parking, best to carpool if you're coming with very many people.

Come here for bowling and beer. There was a time when a third "B"could be added to the Fireside's attractions -- "bands," but after the bowling alley's hiatus, there's been a bit of a struggle in reclaiming its status as a venue. I only know it as a place where the bowlers get busy. The alley is laid-back and wide open, where the funky old shoes can fly off the shelves. Great for a friendly, no-frills, neighborhood game.

Bowling here is really really cheap. I like that. However there is a reason for it. Unlike most other places today that automatically keep track of your score, at Lincoln Square lanes you are handed a scorecard and pencil to do all the scoring yourself. So hopefully you were paying attention when you had the scoring done for you so you know how to do it. Being able to add helps too. There's not a ton of lanes so you're better off making a reservation for one, however there is a full bar while you're waiting or just to go along with bowling. Despite being severely out of date, I really like it here and the other people here are nice.

Timberlanes is pretty fun if you're with a good group of friends and looking to drink. It's an old run-down bowling alley (like a dive of bowling alleys), but has the crowd coming back.
Lanes are limited, so I'd recommend going a little earlier than 10 p.m. They have a small selection of balls to choose from as well. Beer is average priced, and you can get pitchers. Bring cash though because they don't take plastic! I'd say the best thing is the juke-box, but even that's not too cheap. I dunno what keeps 'em coming back to be honest, but last time I was there I had fun. Maybe it's just for the locals...

Sometimes the parking lot is so packed here because it's just a great place to bowl. This newly remodeled bowling alley location features electronic scoreboards so you can focous on your bowling and having a laugh with friends. Video games, a bar, and snacks along with a huge parking lot make this a cool place to hang for a while. It has a real down to earth feel at this place. Hope you enjoy bowling a 300 game (or a 130, like me :)

I believe you can rent out the room with the bowling lanes, so it can be pretty fun for a group outing-even work related. I remember they had actual people acting as the ball return, and if you were really nice to them (put a dollar in the thumb hole), they may "help" you make the spare. The bar food is pretty good too. The biggest problem is that it is difficult to park in this area.

I get a kick out of bowling once in a while. I probably should go more often so my game would be more consistent. This place has alot of lanes and is a nice looking, fairly modern bowling alley. They are close to Lane Tech and the problem with that is all the kids that flood here and try to take over this place. Even though Lane is a really good school there are alot of gang bangers that go there, hang out around there and love this place. To add to that this area is heavily populated and there are no other bowling alleys around to choose from. The place itself is cool but keep these things in mind especially during school hours. Are kids getting out of school at 11 AM these days? What's up with that?

I was looking forward to bowling a lane while visiting this cool area. It is connected to bar so when the door was locked I asked what the story was. There is no sign anywhere that states that they are only open now for private events, but that's what I was told. Put a sign up folks and take down your giant sign for your bowling and billards.
