This Barnes & Noble has a Starbucks Cafe (not to be confused with an actual Starbucks shop) and miles and miles of space to sit and read (okay, maybe not miles, but there's a lot of places in this shop to sit and read. I love the staircase up to the second floor. There's always a great selection of bargain books (a lot of good gift books for the holidays). This past Christmas I bought a book that Barnes & Noble contributed to kids in need. That was an excellent way to get my gift giving spirit on!

This bookstore is probably my least favorite of all the bookstore they have in the Chicago area. I have been here several times before searching for medical books for my classes, but their selection isn't that great at all. Plus, I find the service here to be not that great and the people working here don't always seem too eager to help out. They do have a nice coffee shop though that is good if you want to grab a book and browse while you enjoy a nice cup of java.

This place has all of the normal books and magazines that your regular large chain book store. I was in here the other day and decided to sit down like I would at any of these stores and get a cup of coffee to do some reading but the coffee that they served was horrible. I was told that it was Starbucks but if it was then they should be ashamed of themselves because it didn't taste anything like it. You might want to try Borders which is about five blocks south.
