Milios Hair Salon used to be known as an edgy salon with creative and gifted stylists no matter if you where looking for a conservative style or bright funky colors. NOT ANYMORE!!! It is a tragedy to see what has become of this once day in and day out busy Salon. Milios Hair Salon was taken over by a new owner and a transformation started slowly but surely and due to all the changes all the spark and edginess vanished and the Salon lost more than 20 top stylists in the process. I don't understand why they try so hard to be a Mario Tricoci wanna be. Why change a great thing and run the place into the ground? but

Years ago, I remember Milio's being pretty cool. I guess I have grown up, and my expectations are higher - but even so, this salon is dreadful and I have no idea how this place is in business. Hair and color all over the floor; stylists stations are a mess; hairbrushes have hair in them; NO water pressure, in a salon! My stylist, if you can even call him that, used his cell phone while servicing me - he left hair color on the back of my neck! I found this out after immediately going to another salon afterward - SO BAD! His haircut was the worst I've ever gotten - he didn't even double check his work - no technique what so ever. And the style I left with, was one to cry over, which I did. It was like my little brother did my hair. And sure, maybe he mostly does dreads or something - but don't book a client for a haircut then! This salon needs a makeover - I DO NOT RECOMMEND MILIOS! What a waste of money - and I'm a college student. Horrible! Pros: nothing

seriously! no one knows my hair like Jeffrey. in seattle, i get haircuts. but at milio's, Jeffrey cuts MY hair! there is a big difference. I never leave the salon looking overdone. i'm a mom with a serious office job but i also have a very funky personality. Jeffrey work lets me balance all those worlds. i wear my hair and not the other way around. his color is amazing too. i plan my hair around trips home to visit family. Pros: talented, constantly trained team, price Cons: unisex bathrooms - sorry, i'm just not there yet.

i received my favorite hair cut/color ever from milio's. reverend billy made fluffy bangs and layered my hair in a way that baffled the mario tricocci stylists. staff is super relaxed, not pushy, and listen to what you say when you talk about the look you want. only downfall is that sometimes they're running late; i've had to wait over an hour for an appointment that i scheduled weeks in advance and am habitually asked to wait past my appointment time. otherwise, the wait is totally worth it when you consider how happy i am with their end results; though it's good to know in advance that you might need to waste a whole day if you have an appointment there. Cons: punctuality

LOVE this place. See EDWARD. He is an amazing person, stylist, colorist. He has been doing hair for like 20 years and knows what he is doing. He is a PRO - very trustworthy. I have LONG, fine hair. He highlighted in the red tones. It looks amazing. Cut and highlights for LONG hair: $185. (very fair price) This place has a bunch of "characters" and is FUN......i spent several hours there because my highlights took a long time........long process. WILL be back!

Milio's isn't bad for cuts but for color it is awful. I used to have a great stylist there but when she left I went to another stylist that she recommended. Long story short my hair turned out bright orange from brown, I had extreme scalp burn, and I had to dye it black immediately upon leaving despite the pain. The stylist left the color on too long and then didn't even apologize or offer not to charge me. I should have filed a complaint with Milio, who actually is quite a nice guy. So go in knowing that you might come out looking like a traffic cone. Pros: Good environment, mostly good stylists Cons: Flighty and distracted by shiny baubles

I used to go here in High School and college to get a cheap nice $25 hair cut and never have to worry about walking out looking like a suburbanite. Alas, in the past years they've gone to a graduated pay scale. The stylist I used to see now charges way more for her cuts then she used to (even after HS i was only payin 30-35) now I can only afford to get my hair cut there once a year. I maintain my cut by going to the Hair Cuttery in Evanston inbetween. But Adele is the best stylist in the city I swear by her!

I had a great coloring job done here, the only complaint I ever had is that I went in with long beautiful hair. I asked the stylist what they thought would look good and how I should go about achieving my look. Without my permission they chopped my hair off to above my ears. Needless to say, I have not gone back. Just make sure that you know what style you are going to get, and that the stylist is aware of it too. Definetly great for getting those unique hairstyles as well.

You can get your hair cut by a professional for half as much as going to Aveda or other local swanky salons. I feel comfortable going to this place, because they don't try to put on the whole pretentious upscale boutique that looks down on everyone. As you can tell, I am holding a grudge.
