My wife and I went there for dinner earlier this evening.
It's a cozy, romantic restaurant, with intimate booths and soft bossa nova music playing in the background.
She had the combination, with grape leaves, meatball, eggplant and phyllo dough, while I had the couscous with lamb. We also shared one of the Armenian pizza appetizers, and the yogurt dip for the free pitas provided, all of which was great.
The food was tasty; the portions large but not huge. Service was very nice.
The total bill was under $60, even with us having dessert.
I recommend this restaurant for a romantic, reasonably priced meal in downtown Chicago.

My family and I go to Sayat Nova all the time. We love it. We're Armenian and Sayat Nova serves the same food that we grew up with (they even have the same dishes as my Grandma). It's definitely authentic. Sayat Nova has great food, great atmosphere, and great service. The staff treats you as family. You can even do a hookah if you'd like. Highly recommended. I love this place.

I was first introduced to this place through a friend and ever since then my weekends get spent at Sayat Nova. This cozy restaurant gets transformed into a party place once its 9pm on Fridays and Saturdays. With middle eastern beats, Indian flare, and Punjabi rap, this joint makes you feel like you are in a totally different country. A full bar with all your favorite drinks in addition to the Hookah pipe available upon request. The crowd is mixed with different people and every week there are different DJ's playing the beats. In the heart of the city, this place cannot be overlooked. Though its small it will show you an experience you will never forget.
