Swanky, fashion-focused lounge attracts big spenders with its elite atmosphere and high-end bottle service. Contributor on 08-09-2005

The Scene
Gleaming red tiles behind the bar and two rows of candles along a front wall of bamboo create a sexy crimson tint in this bi-level West Loop nightclub. Attentive hosts lead 20- to 30-something guests to reserved tables surrounded by leather couches, stools and chairs, and upstairs where there is additional intimate seating and space for dancing. VIPs order bottles of champagne to fill the silver buckets and crystal glasses; other patrons sip cocktails while standing at the marble bar. Girls pose in tight jeans and slinky tops, while guys stick to collared shirts.

The Draw
As party mode sets in for the well-coiffed fashionistas, bartenders effortlessly mix specialties like the Black Cherry with chocolate-chip-cookie-dough liqueur. An elevated DJ booth plays house music, Michael Jackson and Jay-Z, and females shimmy and shake on the dance floor.
