One of the best "sports bars" in Chicago because of its upscale vibe and beautiful enclosed sunroom. As a 40 something.....i appreciated the non-brawl like atmosphere, it was fun, upbeat but not annoyingly rowdy. There are no bad seats, all are clear views to the high def screens --which are everywhere. We ordered two white wines, one German the other California and they were PHENOMENAL. The service was quite frankly, better than most elegant, high-brow restaurants. Food was a big surprise - we started with a hummus plate that came with piping hot pita bread, warm flavorful hummus and crisp veggies (it was huge), boyfriend had steak fettuccine and i had a crisp, savory pizza for one (6 pieces which were more than enough) that had garlic, basil, peperoni and Gorgonzola-ALL was to DIE for. Best thing, it was Monday and it was half price for food and wine--this great meal was only $31! There is nothing like this anywhere in the city. 4 ++ stars.
Michele
Pros: There are no negatives, we loved all of it

every time i go back to villains there is something new to tempt me. whether i'm trying the latest brew on tap or diving into the house smoked pulled-pork sandwich (with cole slaw so tasty i've seen people lick the plate) i always leave satisfied. the scratch kitchen is a breath of cool breeze in a world of micro-zapped-mediocrity. i love kickin' it there i'm sure you will too. good times to be had by all.
Pros: scratch kitchen
Cons: i don't live around the corner

Sizzling Hot. Gotta go for the live music on Saturdays. This place adds flavor to Lincoln Park neighborhood. Owners Rueben and Oscar are hospitable and humble hosts and really know how to take care of their patrons. Bartenders are not so knowledge about pouring drinks but that could be to your benefit. Get ready to Shake and Salsa at this Hot Spot
Pros: Live Music, Staff & Owners, Sangrias
Cons: Parking, Hidden Location

This is the place where Dirty Bingo started and it is SO MUCH FUN! Not only the same night when they have pitchers of beer for $4 and 25 cent wings, but hours of hysterical fun. The host is kinda like a Cheslea Handler type. I will admit, this is the main reason I go to the bar - Dirty Bingo. The food is good and the drinks are not too pricey. A full night of entertainment, food and drink for all less than a movie...sign me up!
Pros: Best Bar Game
Cons: Crowded - get there early

I was invited to "Victor Hotel" by my dear friend and former student Jaslene Gonzalez (The New America's Next Top Model) for her birthday celebration. Since winning Cycle 8 of Americas Next Top Model featuring the Supermodel Tyra Banks, Jaslene decided to have her main 21st Birthday Celebration here at Victor Hotel, it was STUNNING! The place is very avant' guarde and extremely beautiful. I was in awe as soon as I walked in. Reminiscent of the 1920's Electic Scene. The bar was not super well stocked like we had hoped, because my cousin ordered a Amaretto Stone Sour, and they had to scramble for 15 minutes looking for Amaretto. The Prices are upscale (for 2 drinks we spent 20 dollars plus a 7 dollar tip), but it was kind of reasonable seeing as it was very elegant. One thing though is that I opened a tab and when I went to pay and retrieve my card, the bartender stated she had given my card to the waitress and that was over 1 hour prior. But we found her and it was all okay, just nerve racking. I thought though that the music (Guest DJ Jesse De La Pena, another friend whom I went to High School with, shhhh,,,, the age is creeping in) was very tasteful for the club and so serene. Not loud and obnoxious like some other clubs, but than again I am not sure if this is what I would call a club. It is very upscale and nice. If you get a chance to visit, by all means do so. It is worth the experience since it used to be a meat packing place and when you go inside you are in aw at where things might have been. Parking is extremely ample and you will not have a problem whatsoever. Enjoy.
Pros: Extremely beautiful for the eyes and a bit of the classy side in a hidden location.
Cons: A bit higher end for drinks. Even beers will cost you.

Viand is great! Picture this a group of 8 people in their mid-twenties who can't agree on what to eat & without reservations anywhere on Valentine's Day. Viand came to the rescue - the host seated us in their Private Room, and our mood went from hungry and grumpy to satisfied with the variety of food to eat and amused that you can control the music in your private room and people watch with the doors closed off to the rest of the bar scene. It's been a year and change and we're still talking about that dinner- atmosphere and food.

Very typical for a Kleiner restaurant, great food, service, and the decor was awesome. We have been to Room 21 twice, both times sitting in the outdoor patio in the summer, it makes you feel like you are on a mini-vacation away from the city. Both times the service has been great and the food outstanding! The server has explained each dish with great detail, and I mean all dishes. Went there for a romantic dinner with my wife the first time and with a large group the second, which included a two year old, the servers were very willing to accomodate for the little guy which was appreciated! The manager was great and even took us on a private tour of the Capone vault. I will have to say that I was disappointed the second time around with the dessert selection after the departure of their pastry chef, I MISS THE RED VELVET CAKE!! That is the only complaint that I would have, everything else is great!
Pros: Adapts to the clients; good for large groups with kids or a romantic night, service, food, ambience
Cons: Loss of great dessert menu with departure of pastry chef
