A couple of cold ones, corned beef and cabbage and I never heard of brown bread ice cream but trust me and the bartender. Can't wait to get back for a replay. I don't write reviews unless a place is extraordinarily (good or bad). I really liked this place and no, I'm not Irish.
Pros: Man comfort
Cons: None

I ate here with friends during a visit to Chicago, and we chose to eat outside at the more casual "Park Cafe" (the outdoor portion of Park Grill, where the ice skating rink is during winter). The food and cocktails were excellent, and although it started to rain during our lunch, the service was also friendly, efficient, and helpful. They pulled the umbrellas over our table to ensure we wouldn't get wet, and made sure we got our food quickly since we were off to see "Jersey Boys" soon after. Try the mini burgers, fish tacos, or scallops, and the pear martini -- all GREAT!
Pros: Great view of the city (and the "bean"!), great food, and service!
Cons: N/A

Stopped by for college football and saw that it is now an ILLINI BAR! Finally somewhere to watch Illini games where you don't see other college team flags being flown! Plus their football special gives you food and beer for 8 hours! Definitely stopping by again!

The patio outside of the Matchbox is my favorite place to be on a warm Chicago day. The bartenders mix classic cocktails to perfection. There are dozens of cigars available. and the food from the Palm is always excellent.
Pros: Patio, bartenders and excellent food from the Palm

born & raised on the southside of chicago & a very big blues fan, i have to say this is by far, THE best blues club in the city. in any city. great music, great people, great food, great fun. the after work sets are cool if you work downtown & wanna miss the big commuting crowd & just hang out & listen to some good acoustic blues - maybe grab a bite, grab a beer & play a little pool. the headliners are always a treat too. don't miss this place.

Wow - I knew this was Chicago's oldest wine bar, but didn't know it was, by far, the city's best. I don't think any other wine bar in town has even HALF the number of wines Webster's does, and their prices are cheaper than anyone elses, too. Best of all, the servers are friendly and they know their stuff! Yes, the atmosphere is great, the food is delicious, and the service is top notch, but it's more than that - these guys really know their wines and are passionate while unpretentious. The owners even take their waitstaff to Europe every year to visit wineries and taste!! I mean really, who else in the entire country even does that???
There's no point in going into details on the wines - they have 40 by the glass that constantly change, they are consistently tasty, the prices are great, and you never see generic wines on the list (my big beef). They also have a great beer list (about 20 bottles) and a quality spirits list. The food is fantastic - not the largest menu, but everything is tight and goes perfectly with wine. For light bites, you can't beat their tapas selections (which include Italian and French traditional "bites" too), and their entrees are all classic regional dishes intended to pair with wines from the same region. And the food is inexpensive, too.
Bottom line: no other wine bar in this city really has taken it to the level Webster's has. If you haven't been to Webster's, you are missing the boat!
Pros: Quality throughout in a chill setting
Cons: None

Seriously folks, I could live here. The seating areas (front and back) are cozy and friendly; I never mind bumping elbows because all the patrons are so interesting!
If you go for one reason, go for the beer. If you go for two reasons, go for the beer, and the mussels. The mussels are the best I have ever had.
The only negative I have experienced so far has been the wait. How many people need to eat dinner at 5PM on Saturday anyway? (of course, I'm only going at that time to drink!)

Don't let the neon sign fool you; this place had really good ambiance & amazing margaritas. The bartenders have worked at this bar/restaurant for over two decades and they know so much about Tequilas. My friend came into the bar and meet so many Chicagoans inside that vouched for the place that we stayed and had the best margaritas ever. We met a manger at a different restaurant who was there just for the drinks. Needless to say that we found our new spot in Chicago and even made new friends. In my opinion, the prices were average because things cost a bit more in Los Angeles, California. I strongly recommend this place to anyone.
Pros: Fresh ingredients & 4 shots per margarita
Cons: None
